Mike,
You have some good ideas and you are a big inspiration to the group.
I appreciate all you do for everyone. Wecould probably put together a lot of the stuff in one place but it would take someone with better computer skills than me to get it done. Hopefully someone will feel led to set it up on the thread.

As for letting people know about our group and BYC, maybe we could set up table at Mary's one nice weekend to help spread the word. Also, maybe we could set up a booth at the Shawnee Show this winter and then next year be ready for the County and State Fairs.

Michael, I was gonna trade or swap with you for that beautiful grey hen yesterday but I waited too long and someone else snatched her away. As they say, "He who hesitates is lost."

The home & garden show in okc might be a good place to set up a chicken booth. It is usually in January. They usually have garden demos & how too stuff. Might be challenging to get the events coordinator to think the chickens fit the expo theme. Think it would be most effective to set up somewhere that lots of people come to browse & surprise them w the cute chickens. I am sure there are loads of good places to set up. The list could go on forever, but coordinating would be the biggest challenge.

We went to the state fair for a couple hours this afternoon. Silly me wore new(ish) tennis shoes, so now my feet hurt

Need to get back to working on that paper... have 3 pages left to write, but I do have tons of information left to draw from, so making the page requirement isn't going to be my problem. Motivation will be my problem!

Home and garden booths start at 1800, for a 8x10 and go up from there. If they supply tables, and display set up aids it gets very high very fast. we spent over 8k on one event alone. at the expo.

Were you doing a booth for wind generators? I figured a booth would be expensive. Wonder how far out they book the stage demos but i never really seen much of an audience for demos on the stage. Wonder if nonprofits have cheaper booth space?
