Evening everyone! Haven't been on in a few days and wow,
takes an hour to catch up on what all we missed!
Carl, Thank you for visiting with me about the wind energy, etc. Oh, and we are taking some steps to try and get some backing to allow chickens as pets for therapy!
Mitzi, OMG what a terrific job you did on the runs and your barn! And... yes, thank you for the pic of Valicia (formerly "Boston Blackie"
), she looks very happy. It was good of you to "share" the two cochins with Firefly.
We are still smarting a little about losing all our birds, but they all did go to wonderful new homes.
We got notice that our son was hit in Iraq, but he and his team are all "ok" as he puts it. Their Humvee was hit by an RKG3 anti-tank explosive formed penetrating device last week and even though there was a lot of damage to the truck, the driver only got some shrapnel in the side of his neck and the gunner got a couple of pieces in his leg and son just got sent off with a concushon. We are so grateful that these young men were spared and we do pray for all the families who have lost loved ones in these policing actions around the globe. We are so proud of our military as those who willingly sacrifice themselves for the protection of our American way of life and the highest ideals of mankind.
Glad everyone had a good time at the auctions and the Swap.
Must go back now and read 10 more pages to catch up on the thread!
