Neither of us will be showing. Between seeing you guys & visiting family we wont' get to. I was hoping that was an auction night.

Nope but a good show..

Could always be worse... You will do better selling them out of teh house this time of year anyway, and teh better the quality the better the $$. Auctions and sales are loaded pretty heavy now that we just past the county fairs and everyone held back on sales through teh heat due to prices now the market is nearly flooded.

I ordered 2 nipples, two different styles. I liked the 360 best. They work good, although two of them drip sometimes.

The good thing is though, that the water stays cleaner, whereas the bowls of water I have sitting out in the pen get super dirty super fast 'cause they lay down in them to keep cool.

We use them for everything but pigeons. Quail, Pheasant and all the bantams. Use the push in type on buckets and the screw in type on heavy plastic such as PVC pipe.

Selling our BBRed bantam old english. Need to slow down a bit. I purchased a trio from Andy Barnes last fall , have them, 4 Cockrels an 2 pullets for sale. $10.00 a piece if you take them all.

Where did everyone go? Is there a friday night get together or party I was not made aware of?

So long as we are on teh subject of birds that can leave. I have two Breeder trios I am currently willing to et go. Birchen OE Bantam, and Opal OE Bantam. Both trios are good birds, well proven breeders, breed true with no issues. PM, email, or call if interested

Artsyrobin, here are the pics I promised you...

The kids absolutely love the chickens! The first three pics are of my girls and the last pic is of one of my girls and the neighbor's kids..

Those kids do look happy to have new playmates.

Was sitting here wondering if I should set the eggs on my counter in the incubator. My chickens are dwindling down every time I check. Think I have lost at least half of the rir I started with in the spring. I don't loose the big birds. Just the younger ones. Darn hawks & coyotes! Neighbor even said he has been finding my chickens that have been harvested. I hate keeping them penned up, they love being out running around. I expect to loose some free ranging, but I have surpassed the mark of a few.

I stopped letting them out early. Guess I will begin calling the birds in & penning them up earlier. Coyotes show up @7 so I can pen them about 5. Once time changes might have to put them up even earlier.

Maybe I need to find the fastest growing best egg producing bird & focus on that. How about turkeys? Would love to see a hawk try to take a turkey.
