***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Anyone want to play what came out of the straight run banty bin at Atwood's with me?

Roo/Pullet and Breed? I can tell the frizzles are frizzly but no idea about sexing them, and the materials out there get confusing quickly. I've been watching but someone will act all roo-y and I will think AH-HA! then that same chicken will cuddle up with the smaller chicks like a mama hen and I will be back to scratching my head.

I would include my guesses, but as I am a chicken newbie and I pretty much only have book-learnin' to go by and that is notoriously wonky in real-world applications. I do tend to think maybe some are Sebrights?

I appreciate your interest and thank you in advance for your input.

Kelly

PS My daughter and I picked these using the very scientific "cuteness" criteria.

Crossing fingers these pictures show up:

I say 2-4-7 are frizzles with those feathers going everywhere. I think all of those frizzles mitt be Roos with the color showing in the combs already.

No guess on the others, sorry. Out of 100 or so birds we only have 1 bantam roo. He is a looker, but he is closer to being rehomed if he doesnt et his hormones under control!

I agree with Jarvis. That seems to be what they are.

Michael,Wowe thats a bunch of pigeons. I see several different breeds in the mix! Makes me miss mine. I have a chance to go to the National Young Bird show in Louisviulle this sat but I think I will go to the big Amish sale instead. Will come closer to being able to afford something at the auction. Got a lady that is going to the big rabbit show in Indianna that will be looking for some triantha rabbits for me. So far all she had located that were going to be there were $50! To rich for me. My crossbred doe had 8 babys last night. First time litter so I thought it was pretty good.

We are haveing a rainy day. Staying in watching naked native tripes make their living and being thankful for not being one of them!lol Also doing some sewing on a Christmas themed quilt.

MIL came thru her surgery fine. Dr. said her bones were strong and held the screws and plate well. SIL was miffed because it interrupted her schedule!

I was leaning towards seabrights but wasnt sure--- I forgot about our 6 golden seabrights! Oops-- we have 7 bantams! Hang onto that buff one. Guy I had a bidding war over the seabrights was only after the buffs. Said they don't have them around here usually. I dnk seabrights are new to us. DD has taught her to crow after she finishes practicing each cheer. I think he is yelling shut up she thinks he is cheering too.

Cowboy I don't think anyone around here would have tried to move that skunk! I did here people use shower curtains or tarps to put over the cage as they approach them. Wildlife management has skunk cages they loan out. Have plastic covered sides so you don't get sprayed.

Coral on one of the yahoo groups I saw the owner of the buck post about his injury---poor boy!
