***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Good dinner ideas everyone.
We make pork or chicken eggrolls. You can get the eggroll sheets in a package in the produce section of the grocery. We fry them in peanut oil.
Daughtr makes a great penne pasta casssarole with chicken and taco seasoning and a little onion and bell pepper....have to gt her recipe.

No, I've nt tried the flat soaker hoses

Burned up my stick blender during the first batch of soap...had to hand beat it...don't think it gelled right. Will have to start again on Saturday. Probaby will have to rebatch the first recipe.

nite all.

Kassaundra, I've drooled over your veggie pics.. you must have one green thumb lady! LOVE the idea of using zuchini cut in julienne strips for noodles idea! I'm not allergic to gluten, but I've come to the realization that if I ever plan on getting to, and maintaining a healthy weight, I'm going to have to eat low carb. Would you mind sharing how you cook your zuchini after slicing it? Do you salt it and let it set to get some of the moisture out of it? I'm also going to try your idea of frying scrambled eggs in a sheet, to be cut into noodles. Got any other great lc ideas?
Thanks for sharing!

I just put it on the plate (single serving b/c it's just Gary and I) pop it in the microwave for 1 minute and cover w/ hot (stove) sauce.

The eggs cut in strips wasn't for noodles it was for the meat of the stir fry dish.

Get the julienne peeler it is only about $5 and makes much better "noodles" then anything you can cut by hand.

Anywho.........just wondering.......let me know if y'all think it would be okay to post.............

Good Morning Okie's I am not happy to be up this early! Got a sinus headache so this isn't looking good.

I know other have posted stuff they intend to take to auction or list on Craigslist. I don't see why you can't list it.

Should work, but you will probably need to add a draw string casing to the neck, or some other way to secure it. The other issue I think the tab thing that will go in the body that might cause the head to be floppy if the body is only slightly stuffed.

Drawstring casing - Great idea. I'm wondering if I should create two holes in the neck base of the ceramic head before firing. The holes would be used as sewing anchor points just in case the drawstring failed.

Would an armature, say medium-guage, plastic coated wire covered with batting scraps, be strong enough to support the head? I'm thinking it would make the baby doll posable as well. It takes away from the under-stuffed feel of the doll, though. I hesitate to attach a rigid armature to a ceramic head. It might cause breakage at the neck. How are antique dolls made? I don't have any. Are the shoulders rigid? Do the heads flop?

Sure do wish I could find the chicken doll head. The molds have been out of production for years, so finding the piggy was a happy surprise. Maybe I could cast my own mold... as if I need any more projects before Christmas.

Have a great day, everyone. I still need to decide which birds to take to the sale at Stilwell today.

Good Morting :lol

Thank you for the welcome back & thank you Carl & Betsy for help with getting an entry form for the shawnee show.

I'm still around even if I don't post, as I'm lurking in the background. I did get behind for awhile, but I'm caught back up.
