I've got a a frame I'm trying to get rid of. It's 4' wide at the base and 6' long. The sheltered part is just a tin cover but it has wheels for easy movement. If you think that might work for her I'd be willing to work out a trade. Or if you can't/don't want it I'll offer it to anyone else on here.

Now there's a thought. Trading is great. So fifteen roosters equals a chicken tractor, right? He, he, he... Do you have any pictures of the tractor?

Ohhhhhh dear. I've already got more Roos than I need. I do all this from my iPhone so I don't think I can post pics but if you email me or pm me your email I can send pics that way

Cool I'll go to that one next time. It looks like you had fun. 412 will be way to cold next month. I'll skip it. But I gotta buy more chickens!

It was a pleasure finally meeting you last night.

Thanks Guy it was nice to meet you also.

Firefly I do 99% of BYC on my iPhone as well. I use the photobucket app for pics. Works well & is hassle free.

Guy that I traded some birds with a while back has twin boer does born this weekend that are not feeding from momma. He doesn't want to mess with the bottle babies, and remembers how my dd loved his goats when we were there this summer, so called & offered them to us. We are picking the bottle babies up tomorrow. I didn't tell dd, so after her basketball game tomorrow she will have a nice surprise waiting on her in the barn. She wanted something smaller, so I am sure come spring she will still get a "pet goat".

Dh & I are at odds on disbudding. Since the goats are going to be around the kids I think disbudding is safer-- but dh disagrees.

When I was a teen we had a herd of milk goats (full size not mini's) those who were born w/ horns kept them, we never had any nanny that ever hurt any of us or any visiting child accidentally or on purpose, ever. The billy's are a diff story. We were very hands on in the rearing of our goats handled them all the time, bottle fed them as babies.

The pens look great. One adjustment that I would suggest though is to put either a 1x2 or 2x2 on top of the wire where it meets the boards. Sandwich the wire between the boards and it will be a lot stronger and less likely to pull away if something should try it.

This morning a mile S. of the house we saw 4 Coyotes headed to lay up for the day after a hard night of looting.
