***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Morning All!

Could not sleep but still tired. Worried about my kid, she is so upset and hurting. This little stunt they pulled on her has her very disheartened. Hate when people just mess with someone because they can.

Stanley our newest member of the family is doing great. Pretty much already potty trained. At 7 weeks he will not pee or poop in his crate and lets me know when he needs to go out. Very smart boy! He loves all the cats and most of them seem to love him, too. Stella thinks he is wonderful. I am glad we got him, cuz he is so darn sweet and cute on top of everything else. I will try to post pics of him today.

Think maybe I will do some house work, since I can not sleep. Maybe that will help me get tired. It is Saturday for goodness sake, I should be sleeping in.

This is a good place to sell? Marys? I have been using craigslist and usually dont sell for very much, and field strange questions on the phone. People who are bored and want to talk on the phone and really dont want to buy chickens. OKC is about 75 miles from me. How much is it to sell there?

I want a midium sized school. One where I don't have to teach everything but not so big that kids are numbers. I think I will be looking a little further south than what ya'll are thinking. The boys need more grandparent time. Plus that large kid that follows me around might like to play with nephews...somebody has to teach them bad stuff other than me!

Boys had a good opening for the hunting season...Bubba got a black buck and Clayton got a doe...I shot a muley up here right at the end. We have meat and great memories.

I saw your auction for the eggs and had a quick question about the black skinned NN's. You mentioned they were bred w/ black skin for protection from the sun, but I was wondering do they have increased trouble w/ heat b/c of black absorbing more heat? I would have asked on that thread but couldn't find it again.

BTW I like the dark skin on them much better then the lighter ones w/ the bright red. (at least to look at, not sure about the eating part, that might take some getting used to

)
