Hiya Teach! You could always ask my Dad & Mom in Beaver about Durant - Dad was the Methodist minister there for several years. In fact, that was the last place they lived before moving back home to the Panhandle.

I'm getting my butt kicked by an out of control wisteria monster. I think I'm going to wait for Gary to get home to help me using the chainsaw.

When I first planted it it was about 30 feet from the house, but then my MIL died and we built an apt off the back of the house for my FIL so now it's only about 5 feet from the house. The addition has crawl space (the house is on a slab). This wisteria is sending out ridiculous amounts of runners under the house. So here's my question, if I get like 50lbs of salt and salt the whole crawl space will that keep the wisteria from rooting under there? I know nothing will grow in the salted ground, but will it kill the soil not under the crawl space out from the house?

They are right about Durant....growing like a weed, wonderful new high school, pretty good school system altogether.
As for Grace and me...We no longer live in Durant. Moved to Duncan this week! Grace and I have been here a couple of weeks and driving back and forth but I got a place leased and we are actually moving the big stuff on Wednesday. It will be good to have my wife back with us.
Grace sold out of birds completely, at least for the winter, because we couldn't find anything in the country so we leased a house in town.
She is working for the same company I have worked for the last 17 years. She has wanted to work here since she was about six! We are a computer hardware, software, and consulting company working mostly with city and county government and it is a great place to work. I am glad she finally got on board.
The work and moving caused us to miss Shawnee and we will probably not be able to make any shows until the spring (if then).
