Matt, I'd keep that boy put up and safe, too! I don't blame you a bit. You probably have more predators around you that we do here, too. Mine do get locked up at night. That's from listening to horror stories from all you guys.

I am keeping my best quad of spangled oegb put up, one pair of brazilian and one pair of asil, just to be on the safe side. That way, even if something came through and demolished my birds in the pens, i wouldn't have to totally start over. Plus it keeps my more valuable birds safer.

You might be better off getting some of the Bantams. For one, they do take up less room and eat less, and from what I have seen they do act like an asil.
