Quote:
They are fairly similar mutations Dun is a mutation of Dominant white that acts on Black much like Blue does. the opal mutation of rec. white is independant of Black the same mutation has occoured in europe in two other breeds as well.

The house smells so good! Have pork stew cooking in the slow cooker and pumpkin pies in the oven. Some of my family is coming over afterwhile for our Christmas celebration and still have several things to finish up, but had to sit down for a bit. My son, daughter-in-law and the kids won't be here today. DIL has pneumonia and grandkids have ear infections.

so it will be my sisters, mother, daughter and her boyfriend and the youngest grandbaby over this time. This is the first Christmas since the grandkids were born that they won't be her for Christmas, but we'll get together in a couple of weeks when everyone feels better. Santa made a trip here for the kids anyway.

The Color is being added to D'anver, bantam Pheonix, standard Pheonix, starting in 2012. I will be adding it to Rosecomb, once in Rosecomb I may add it to Bantam Wyandotte but will wait and see that will be a few years I'm sure.

I am sorry to hear they are not feeling well, sometimes we just have to enjoy what we have and make arrangements for another day. Enjoy your day and time with family.

Thank you. I'll enjoy the day with the help of a couple of traditional adult beverages. That's the best way I can think of to get through Christmas with my mother.

I understand that one quite well, I choose to avoid most of teh family through all holidays. It resolves many potential arguments or worse.

its Christmas ,a time for rejoycing letsa not dirty such a Holy day day with petty disagreements. We all know no two chicken breeders believe the same doctrine anyway!I'm just thankful that I am here and that the Lord has blessed me to take care of a few of His fabulous fowl!

NaNa are we needing a Christmas Earthquake notification!lol
