throw an egg in the middle of the pen, I bet at least one will have it under her by tomorrow. I know that buff would walk any egg to a nesting area and sit it out.

I bet Don Gibson would know.

I will check with him soon, i already made deals with 3 resources for starter birds. I have to stop soon as it will start hurting the back pocket. But then again breeding and culling doesn't help my back pocket much either.
The real problem is I am down to looking one or two very very special birds now, I know they will hurt my backend getting ahold of, but ah so well worth the efforts when I'm done.

this girl went broody within a couple weeks of beginning to lay, she spent 2 days walking around the run telling everyone in her broody voice she needed eggs! her sister hasn't shown any inclination...

Isn't the the "Don" from Spiro?

I was trying in vain to think of his user name. He used to post some on the Okie thread, but I haven't seen him post much lately, he posts more on TEG.

You are referring to the "chickensandmore" Don...

Yes, I think so.

Worked in the garden again today, got more grass weeded out. Yeta my garden buddy is all kinds of happy today. She had been molting, and she had a pretty hard molt, she couldn't get out of the run. Today she could get herself out, she was prancing and clucking "Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty free at last!" lol
