***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Carl, I think you should get into Faverolles!
Nope, nothing fluffy or feather footed again.
I do not think I could do it, the Big cochins were plenty and will broke me on feather footed birds, keeping thier foot fethering together was a real pain. That and I dont like muffs or tuffs or beards, and that whole 5 toe thing, theres just something wrong there.
Great Pyrenees used to be my all-time favorite breed (until the only breeder I'd buy from died). 125 lbs, double-coated, and double dewclaws. I guess the big hairy polydactyls are just my thing

Good thing my taste in men wasn't the same as my taste in animals or I'd be married to some huge furry dude with too many fingers and toes!

We are home now and settled in for the rest of the day. Roger's surgery went quickly...only 45 minutes. The doctor cut out a 1.5 cm wide wedge out of his lower lip and then stitched him back up. Ice has become his best friend. Soft foods for a week and stitches out next week. Any biopsy results will come then. Dr V. is "very certain we got it all".
Thank you for the kind thoughts and prayers.
Hi y'all thought I'd stop by and say Hi, new byc, huh, didn't know my way around the old one. oh well, cya

Hey! Where's that wife of yours? Any baby chicks yet???

Time for Pigeon Pictures
I just love how pigeons look. But their messiness & difficulty in taming compared to chickens was too much for me.

I think I am going to sit here and finish a jar of pickles.. My god I made the mistake of trying NanKats bread and Butter Zuchini, the jar will have to emptied now since I lost track of where I put the lid.. (I'm sure I could find it if I got up) . Everyone here is fair warning, if you are ever given the opprtunity to try NanKat's cooking, canning, pickling be warned now everythig she makes is addictive. It is so dang good, I am now understanding the whole addiction thing..
So long story short if any of you that plant a garden this year have more than you know what to do with let me know.. I don't think my 12 acres is going to produce enough to satisfy my new found addictions. I may be 250+ lbs by this time next year though.

I need a Rhode Island Red Rooster and Standard Cochin Rooster.

I am having a heck of a time finding one. Right now I have a lavander Orpington rooster and RiR, NH, and Cochin hens. My daughter wants to show the RiR roo. So can anyone help me out with a breeder or perahps an extra top quality roo you have.

I don't like the autions. I lost my whole flock from a sick aution bird I got there so not really my prefered option.

I need him soon to since after the 30 day quarintine and adjustment period it will be March --- Hatching season, HURRAH!!!

EDIT: I'd even take a human aggressive RiR roo as long as he was good quality.

Sent you a PM

Wish I could be 250 by next year

I'm starting from a normal of 150, so I think I can easily gain 100 if I keep up with these crazy food addictions. I'd affer to let you try some but I'm not sharing as my supplies are limited and I am afraid there may be withdrawls or something, so I just keep eating more everyday.
I have two boy's here that are in teh same boat with me, but once the jar starts getting low they get scared to eat it since I might snap. They wait till i'm gone then have field day and eat all of whatever is in there.
The middle boy has started eating Bread and Butter jalepenos on peanut butter and jelly sandwitches, I like them on any kind of sandwich, meat, potatoes, rice, with vegetable, and by themselves.
The bread and butter pickles, saurkraut, hot-mix, home made jellies. What a great cook she is..

That, I can't tell you. however if you are trying to upload for a post then just go 3 icons to teh left of teh paper clip and it will upload to the post. if you are trying to build an album I am of no help.
