There was a commotion in the pullet pen this morning. I was worried that there was a varmint in the nest box because of all the noise, but when I opened the top of the box, I found that two laid their first pullet eggs. I was impressed with the size of each. Here is a photo that shows the Barnevelder pullet egg, a Light Sussex pullet egg, and a Pekin duck egg. The Pekin has been laying for a couple of months, so her eggs are the size of a normal duck egg.
