***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Ksane glad you caught the guineas! Don't remember who was seeking guineas. Guessing your last lady got lonely running around alone in the cold.

That was quite a long drawn out ordeal. I think it's taken about 3 wks to get just 5 Guineas caught. Cathie is taking them and she's been warned ahead of time that the reason I'm not keeping them is they're soooo noisy lol I *am keeping the 12 yr old boy and a male for company for him. The boys screeching is noisy but not as bad as the girls. These are the 1st female Guineas I've ever had. I've only just had the 1 male until last spring when I got the others.
Bill, I just love your posts lol!! I hope it was some teenaged kid thinking he was getting away with something who stole the worms. We got a box of "natural" viagra by mistake here one day. I took it a half mile over where it belonged and the 80 yr old guy who answered the door was almost as embarrassed as me knowing he'd ordered it lol

Hey guys I mentioned a few days ago that I am doing the Easter hatch this year. Well they have a contest going on that at first I just thought was silly, but now I am determined to win. The sacrifices I make for my fellow Okies. If you decide to join the hatchalong, go here

and say that I sent you. And when I win...I will DONATE this fine (reportedly unworn) pair of undies to the next POOPS raffle! Now in the spirit of Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding "Help me...Help You".

I used to do a lot of eBay stuff and several times had to go get things that were misdelivered I spent a week trying to convince UPS they hadn't made a delivery and my next door neighbor calls me saying, Hey I got this box with your name on it setting next to my porch, at least I did get that one LOL a few just went "POOF"

A couple people posted about the Mahonris Easter Hatch-A-Long. There is an egg swap that's running in conjunction with this hatch-a-long. You can join up to four times. I'm in for two swaps. It's a mystery swap, so it should be a lot of fun. If you send pures you get pures. If you send mixed you get mixed. You send six or more eggs. Below is a link to the mystery egg swap thread.

So I was collecting eggs this evening and had to reach in under one hen to get an egg, I don't think she's broody she has always gone to roost in the nest boxes I think it's probably warmer there for her so I don't bother her but a few days ago I was cleaning the boxes up and had tossed golf balls from a couple other nests into that one, Today when I got the sole egg out she started tucking the golf balls back under her, is this an indication she might be going to go broody? I know when they are it's easy to tell but I don't think I ever noticed one keeping eggs (that aren't eggs) warm when they aren't setting.

Bill. my 2 Cochin bantams sit on rocks, sticks, straw and even AIR. They just pretend they're sitting on eggs if they don't have any. So I'd say yours is certainly broody lol Mine steal everyones eggs. I;'m starting to think they even sneak into the fridge and steal those eggs.
