***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Gary and I have had a fundimental difference of opinion for many years now, that has just reached an acceptable compromise. Gary does not like leathal mouse traps, he likes the catch and release kind, which to me is just an invitation to catch them again. Since he is the one that usually gets the traps and deals w/ them we have used those kind of traps. Well the other day he had a trapped one and he was gone, so I was the one needing to release it, which I did ...................................... in the chicken run! Problem solved, my girls made sure that mouse will never be in my house again and got a little extra protien for their trouble.

Here is the current list of attendees for POOPS.
I will try and catch people as they post on the thread,
but if you don't see your name on the list then please
send me private message.
Please let me know how many will be in your group.
Thanks Monty

LOL I like your method!!! I'm sure your girls did too! My girls caught a mouse that had been trying to make a home in our feed house. That was entertainment!! I think those hens could give our cats a run for their money in the mouse hunting dept.

Where is POOPS? I also wanted to add that for the folks living near Bixby, Bixby Farm and Ranch Supply is going to start selling Oxine if they haven't already.

Anyone ever gotten seedlings from the forestry? They are having a seedling sale in Chickasha on the 15th, was considering picking a few things up. Nothing major but at the cheap prices if I spend $20 & the seedlings don't thrive it won't be heart breaking.
My sister and I split an order a few years back from the Forestry Service. We bought lilac, Russian Olive and Black Pine for windbreaks. The plants were shipped to us bare root and early enough to get them healed in for planting out when we were ready.

Seeing all the weather reports today...sure hoping we get some of that rain!
Moved a young pullet back into a barn pen...she is lethargic...the older girls weren't letting her to the feed. So will be going back out with a "booster formula" to get her energized and back on the gravytrain.
This morning have already cleaned all the pens, cleaned and filled all the water containers and made sure the outside feeders are protected from rain.
The brooders in the hot tub room are now ready for the chicks I'll pick up from Carl later this afternoon...there are Spangled OEGB in this hatch along with some CWs and Aussie Cochin!
We had two calves born yesteray in all the wind. Watched one first time heifer having a calf 3 x until she turned to face the wind LOL
The wind kept blowing the baby off it's feet until Roger moved a bale of hay to block the wind.

Looks like the POOPS list of attendees is really growing...looks like a fun day a comin' on Sat. May 5 in Choctaw!!.

Elwood...any more kids?

OklaDoodle...that's a lot of pigeons! Pretty too.

OMGosh were those your tiny babies we were drooling over???? Jack (my 7 year old) went with us last night to drop eggs off and Carl let us look through the glass window at the babies hatching. Those little bitties were soooooooo cute!!!! And boy could they make some noise! LOL I can't wait to pick our babies up tonight as well. I am praying for at least 6 but we will see what hatches today, lol.
