Great looks like my crested duck is a Pekin...... He is almost double the size of the ducklings hatched the same day..... hmph.....

I have five that hatched out Thanksgiving Day . Three sky blues and two royal purples if you are interested . I have mainly coral blues now and should be getting eggs soon .
We live in Newcastle .

Showgirls are NNs crossed with silkies. I think of them as the toy poodles of the poultry world. Mine are probably 14 to 16 generations down, so have been improved greatly for type and beauty. You can google for them, but be sure to put "chickens" right after "showgirls."

Think our rain is gone for the day. All the wild birds are out playing. I see cardinals bluejay martins & can hear my woodpecker searching for lunch. Keep wanting to get a pic of the woodpecker so I can figure out the variety. Some reason he doesn't ever want to pose by the time I find what tree he is destroying.

Woodpeckers don't destroy trees, though it often looks like that. The are eating the insects that ARE working on destroying the trees.
