Ohhh! I bet they are precious

I'm interested

They are just mixed cochin. I have black, millie fleur, partridge, birchen, and mottled. They are 100% cochin just not sure what kind of cochin and yes they are the cutest darn things.

I am thinking two different color shirts.......Navy & something? Thoughts?

Red or Gray would me my vote.

Last Newcastle sale I went to I had poops on my shirt I got last year but it came from a goose and was all over the side so probably doesn't count...

This design looks really good and it's sure to be a good conversation starter like all of the other shirts are.
People always ask me what my shirt means and I explain, then I usually get some weird looks and the people just shuffle away.

Thanks for the tip! I was thinking GS, rott, or doby, but DH nixed all of those, he's talking hunting dog

Exactly what we need, something that won't chase off people, but will probably go after our flock. I'll have to look up the Komondor.

I am impressed that my labs have adapted to non fenced life. For the most part they are staying close to the house, but on the occasion they stayed at my parent's two acres they were always digging out and running off. Go figure. They did just that yesterday, there was a guy walking down the street (mind you our house is set well off from the street) they ran to the fence barked and hollard, the guy told them to git so they just stood there and watched him. I'd have been happier if the guy had gone running in terror

It's the breed, Labs are everywhere and when you see one you immediatly think service dog, after all they guide the blind and are helper dogs for those that are wheelchair bound and are one of the most popular for search and rescue. 90% of the effectiveness of a dog is in the perception of whomever is breaching your property.

Now if pops wants a hunting breed that can go the distance think German Shorthair, Visla or Weimeraner but good hunters have a high prey drive and it would takes lots of time and patience so they don't hunt your birds too. An Airedale that is of Oorang bloodline is a fair hunter for birds and were used in the past for Bear and Cougar. Fearless dogs with a big heart.

The old Hungarian breeders of the Komondor would often say that chances are an intruder will be allowed onto your property, but they just won't be allowed to leave. They are not prone to biting humans, they use their deep chest and weight to knock an intruder down and then stand guard until they are found whether it be tomorrow or next week.

If you look into the history of the Doberman they were bred to be a farm dog, a helper dog as Herr Doberman put it.

We keep two large male Rotts, would not trade them for anything.. biggest baby's you could meet most of time just looking for attention but on occasion they do meet someone they don't like and I figure there is a reason so they don't return. In general I think dogs can be a real good judge of folks in less time than we can, I trust them.
The bigger dogs are a bit intimidating for many and it helps to some degree, but they are kind of like locks in my opinion they are really just there to deter otherwise honest folks, those truly seeking to do harm will without additional protection devices.

Now if you are talking about Livestock and poultry friendly animals, retrivers and most dogs would do well but true hunting dogs and breeds are a tough choice for that purpose, But a good hunting dog is just that and often kenneled to keep them home and out of trouble.

animals are the best judges of people, no bias at all, just the truth.
