***OKIES in the BYC III ***

There was another part of the article that said you could make your own bags by sewing up garden fabric and you can use straw or hay for the added soil after plantin, then your potatoes come out clean and pretty!!! Lynn
What bout pig-tail plugs?

Good suggestion...The fabric bag would also let the soil drain and air prune the roots. Need to keep it lightly moist.

here are pics of our new fluff, they are so cute and Jackson is loving he is the only one here at the office to "bond" with them, lol. I have one chick that is a mystery. Not sure what he/she is. The choices are Golden Salmon Marans, Black Australorps, or a Black Sexlink (barred rock hens with a RIR roo). He can't be a Cuckoo marans since all my cuckoos have feather feet right? He has white on his wing tips and a white patch under his neck, no white spot on the back of his head but his head is as red as red can get, lol. I had one hatch out like this last week but he was all black with a tiny patch of red on his face and it was Golden Salmon Marans but this one with the white on it I don't think so.

Okay can someone fill me in on "Poops" When where why and how... and is it a trading thing or - should I ask are chicks for sale there or such I am just starting over and well nothing really to trade beyond a pair of Pekin Ducks.

OkieRidge, I don't know what kind of chick that is but it's adorable! I love the dark red and gray together. Carl hatched for 3 of us this time, I bet he's glad that's over. Thanks, Carl.
I can't believe I actually got an LF Faverolles from my very own birds out of the batch. That's a special one to me, perfectly spaced 5 toes on botd good, Carl.
NoCityBoy, you're still taking male Dark Brahamas, right? This one just feels like a boy when you pick him up, he's solid and the biggest one. So I'm thinking this is one of yours :)
Then the Lavender Ameraucanas-I'm loving all the puffy cheeks and feathered legs in this batch.

Buster52 - that sure is a lot of chicken! They look delicious!

You should have no trouble at all selling them all.

Oakieridge - those sure are cute babies. Can't help with the breed i.d. though.
