***OKIES in the BYC III ***

It has been a rough couple of weeks for my family. Three weeks ago, my son in law lost his grandmother, to whom he and my daughter have been very close and had been caring for over the past 5 years. Thursday, his mother (her daughter) died. Friday, I got the news my nephew has double pneumonia and a staph infection, is in ICU and not expected to make it.

Sorrows come in threes.

Buster sorry y'all are going through so much lately! Next weekend should be good for you to see family & relax a bit.

I spent some more time working on the poops vinyl, the 2012 is going to be left off-- sorry I just can't get it straight! It is too tiny!!!! Here is what I came up with this time. the decal is on a plastic charger, just for decoration. Not for food use, my nephew was wanting to eat off of it for dinner!

Aw crap. Ok. lol Guess I should pay better attention. Well. Guess we won't be doing anything today. haha

on another note. I might be getting two turkeys and a male peacock. I want the peacock but I'm not so sure about the turkeys. I have to figure out where I would even put these birds. But they would be rescues my uncle is an animal control officer in El Reno. Waiting to see.

hm, what kind of turkeys? If you can't find a place for them I might be able to help :p

I'm so sorry. We had a rough time at the end of last year and your right, deaths come in threes.

Maybe do a larger 2012 and put it at the bottom on the raised part of the plate? Then people can collect them year after year!

Push mowed for three hours this afternoon. I'm spent and burnt. We decided to wait till this evening to get the last three fruit trees in the ground, but the holes are dug at least.

I would love to put things around the edge of the plate, but I have yet to master getting them to curve @ the correct angle in this program. I can get it sometimes on the cricut site, but it is SERIOUSLY a headache! I will play around with it on a rainy day-- maybe Monday or Tuesday 50% chance of rain!

Nathanael's birthday is Monday so he wanted his "mommy/daddy birthday date" today. We always take them and spend the day how ever they want and they pick where we eat lunch. He wanted to go to Mary's Swapmeet, Build A Bear, TGIFridays, and then walmart to get a new game. Mary's was BUSY!!!! He found a couple of OEGB hens but after I pointed out if we bought birds that was the end of our day. I didn't think those birds wanted to be in the hot car all day, lol. He agreed and found himself some new books and a toy motorcycle instead. The mall was suprisingly quiet for a Sat. IMO. Wish I could say the same about Walmart, lol. I hate that place with a passion but Nathanael had a gift card from his Nana. So glad to be home now.
I need to get some laundry done and clean the brooders in the house but thinking I may kick back for a few mins.

Come on by tomorrow, I have a young matched pair for his birthday.

Buster, so sorry for the hard times you and your family are experiencing.

A great day for those of you fortunate enough to be working in the gardens. That's what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Today has been a bad day for me, on my way to work got a call that my baby NN chicks were at the post office, but I had already left for work. The hatchery didn't let me know they were coming, even though I called earlier this week to find out. I ordered 15, when Gary opened the box at the PO there were 10 dead and 2 more nearly dead. I called the hatchery and left a message so we'll see how that goes they said they would replace dead ones. I am not as miffed about the dead ones as the lack of communication. Last time I heard I still have 5 alive, but he doesn't think one or two will live. I researched this hatchery before ordering and got nothing but positive comments about customer service and quality of chicks.

You mean curve with the plate? I think it would look good straight -
Looks like you has some crafty skills! Straight looks nice. I will try it out just have to measure the rim to get the numbers the right size. Kass I would be very upset not knowing that my chicks had been shipped. I doubt them being at the post office a few extra hours caused that great of a loss IMO.

Buster, so sorry your family is going through so much loss. Please know we are praying for your family. If you want to PM me your nephews name I can add him to our sunday school class prayer list. I never underestimate prayer. Shanda wasn't expected to live after her stomach ruptured back in 2001, then she got meningitis on top of it. She is now 21. Nathanael wasn't supposed to live past the age of 2 without a liver transplant, he will be 10 on Monday and still going strong without a new liver.

Christine you are seriously tallented!!!! I have a cricut but have never tried all you have done with yours, didn't even know it was possible! LOL. The most creative I got was putting Matthew's team's name on the back window of my car.

Awe, thanks, I will talk to hubby we could probably swing by after church we get out at 10:30 well more like 10:45 after we drag 3 teens out of the church.

Well I am beat! I still have to give the 4 younger boys hair cuts tonight but I did get brooders in the house clean. Didn't get laundry done since the 18 year old is doing his but I can wait until tomorrow to wash my scrubs. Did get about 300 pea seeds in the garden (only know because my 7 year old is obsessive about counting stuff so he counted how many seeds I planted in 2 ft. then counted it all up, lol).
