***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I bet we do! No most of my iris came from friends over at another forum - bought sold and traded over there - a lot are rare, old, or just not your everyday Iris I am a part of the Norman group.. how be it with everything else I dont make it over there too often!

I envy you both. I love irises, and most flowers.

Sounds great! I would love to hatch some of your eggs or get some keets. If you are wanting more keets for yourself we can hatch them out for you & get them to you after vacation. I only hatched a few coral blues last yr since my blue is mated with a pearl.

Mine should be all blue since I sold the last two Royal Purple teenagers to Oceanseve . I do have one old Royal Purple hen but think she is just too old to lay . I love the blue corals as their blue is very vivid .
Good idea about hatching them , I would like some extras . How many eggs should I bring ?

Thanks ,
Sherri

How is everyone doing with the storms? The rain is finally here, we spent the late afternoon getting all the birds in their coops and making sure all the feeders and waterers are filled in the coops. Also gathered greens for them all and put those in the coops so they will have a little treat since they didn't get as much outside time as they are used to. My babies that we moved out this week are not sure about this rain thing. It started thundering and they started running around like the sky was falling. Hubby is gathering blankets in case we loose power so we can cover the incubators.
Everyone stay safe, praying we don't have to go to the basement but thankfull we have it just in case.
lol! That reminds me of my Silkies 1st storm after they went outside. They had a nice dry building to go into, they slept in it every night. My daughter said it started raining real hard and she ran out to check the birds and the Silkies were screaming & running round and round in a circle in the middle of their yard as fast as they could

. I swear, these Silkies are about as bright as Guineas.

Bring how many eggs you will like we will make room for them! Right now we are running 2 cabinet incubators. My guineas seem to be about finished laying pullet size eggs. We are getting 18 eggs a day on average, a few of those are still tiny eggs. Have you seen the slates? I have a few of those & I like that shade also. It is deeper & so pretty when the sun catches the feathers just right.

My son goes to school in Norman. Molly called him to see if he was good from the storms. He was in route to Shawnee to see friends. Crap having kids leave home and go off on their own is sure hard on old peoples nerves.

Big Amen to that. I know I worry more about them now than when they were kids. Three boys in their 30's and a girl just 26. I sometimes think she has more good sense than her brothers put together.

Slate color is very pretty ( just looked it up ) Wouldn't mind having a few of those . I will bring as many eggs as I can carry .

Sounds great. I will make sure you get some slates as mine hatch out. I may have to separate the slates since right now I have them with my purples & browns. I am going to see how many slates I get on my hatch in 2 wks before I start separating though, since guineas don't do well with change!

Everyone who is or was in the path of the Oklahoma tornadoes please post a update if possible.

Thank God me and my kids did not go to Norman. Our normal exit is 24th and E. Lindsey right in the middle of one of them.

We are back home with a cellar...

sooner, put me down for a few bags of chips. i guess assorted will do. last time i looked, seems like there are close to a hundred people coming!

just came in from doing a dumb thing, mowed most of the yard for the boss. she will mow until lightning strikes her if i dont try to help. now i hurt in places that noone should hurt. IT SUCKS TO BE OLD AND HALF CRIPPLED!!!!

course it wouldnt hurt to use a little common sense, but noooooo i gotta mow for 3 hours straight! stinking push mowers anyway. did get my rider started, carb is bad and it doesnt have any belts on it yet. mabey i can get it done this weekend.

everyone watch out for the storms, and dont do what i do. i sit here in my trailer house with out a cellar and watch the trees bend and sway! wife takes off for her brothers cause he has a cellar, course it is full of water and half out of the ground, but it is still a cellar!

well, my meds are starting to work, frito bandito is laying beside me snoring, and the boss is gone after supper. man i hope i can stay up till she gets back! i would like to eat before i go to sleep!!!!

might make it back later, ya'll be carefull and stay safe.
