***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Here is a video of the baby NN's they learned how to eat the dubias very quickly.

This is my first video so not sure if it is going to work.

hah! love to watch the babies eat! i have been putting mine outside in a pen on the ground for a little bit each day, 5 day old chicks and mayflies are a match made in heaven! they are mad cause they couldnt go out today, didnt want them to drown.

all i can say is take more movies kass, that is fun to watch.

Hahahahaha!!!! I love it! That white one is a hoot, he looks so intelligent like he's craning his neck lol!
My chicks love the Dubias, too. That's a great video, Kass!!

I have a video of the big girls in a feeding frenzy over the dubias, I'll have to get my tech guy on it next. lol He wanted credit at the director, cinematographer, cameraman, and tech guru. lol

They spend most all day every day outside, this video was taken just before taking them out. They do get their beaks in a twist if they don't get out though.

We just finished candling eggs-- ready to lock them down. Mitzi the turkey egg doesn't look filled in all the way. I am setting it in the hatcher since I just can't decide!

We set 8 dz more guinea eggs... 3 dz are from okie ridge. Also took a pair of guineas to my neighbor tonight. A girl that had a hard time making friends & a lavender boy that keeps getting the crap beat out of him. Today the cock that thinks he is in charge left the lavender boy all bloody so I finally intervened. I kept thinking they would work it out, guess I was wrong! They were fine until breeding season began, but now their hormones are in overdrive & they just couldn't get along.

The German Shephard has been returned to her old home, she wanted my birds so bad she was shaking while we held her back on the leash!

Galen had her kid tonight. It's a doeling. I took some video but need to edit it before I can post it. There's too much noise with me bumping into the feeder when I moved back. I'll be back on when I get it finished.

Kass - Neat video of the NNs. They are eating machines.

Well that figues about the turkey eggs! It was their 1st 6 eggs and he didn't always get the right end. At least if it doesn't hatch it won't have to be a lone turkey. That sucks.
That's how most my dogs act over birds :-/ Gone are the days when I had dogs I could trust with livestock.
I got some Silver Laced & Gold Laced LF Cochin eggs. I'd be forever thankful to the chick gods if they saw fit to let me have a few hens of that group! At least if they're boys they won't be hard to find homes for. I took some of my Cochin cross eggs out of the incubator the day after I set them because I have to leave room for the Silver and Gold Laced.

Your not kidding there that's for sure, have never seen anything like it, I don't remember the EE's packing the food away like these little ones!
