***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I asked before but surprise surprise-no takers lol I've got these 2 Light Brahma chicks about 2-3 wks old, I'm thinking boys, although I don't have any solid reason for thinking so.
Does anyone want them before I try to give them away elsewhere?

I would love to have them Ksane. I have been looking at brahmas and wanting to get some. This would get me started. Then of course I have to get more so they do not get lonely! I just love chicken math.

Galen had her kid tonight. It's a doeling. I took some video but need to edit it before I can post it. There's too much noise with me bumping into the feeder when I moved back. I'll be back on when I get it finished.

Kass - Neat video of the NNs. They are eating machines.

Congratulation on the doeling.

The other was definitely NOT Beverly Sills, which is a beautiful, solid, ruffled pink with no other color. There are sooooo many thousands of irises it is nearly impossible to identify them without having known definitely what their names were when you planted them.
Thank you. Since I have that pink that hasn't bloomed, I will have to label the Beverly Sills. And find the name of the other one.

does anyone know what the regulations are on raising timber wolves? the house and property 2 doors down frim us sold and they plan on raising these. we all live on 5-10 acres and after seeing what they are putting up for pens I am concerned. I dont want to make waves for them and will wait until I see if the pens are complete before expressing my concerns to them. I doubt there is anything we can do about it but cant find anything online.

Lincoln County has a FSA office that will have the USDA guidelines. The office is in Chandler. 405-258-1405

How is everyone? Thought I would Pop in and say hello before the next 5 days kick me in the tail.. Hope all weathered the storms ok, and as the week continues. I like the rain for spring we need it badly, but the severe storms I could live without, I don't like to worry about how all of our friends are.

Glad yu are okay also! Don't envy you the long work hours.

Well this morning while I was in the shower my daughter came in upset that our only Silkie chick was dead. :( My little buddy. I don't know what happened, if it was me or just something wrong with the chick since it had such a difficult hatch. I'm clueless here. I know the three Ameraucana's are doing just fine including the little one who had the pasty butt.

I guess since I have so many chick's thanks to Ksane :) , and turkey and pheasant eggs in the incubator thanks to PoultryandBees :) , One day when everyone is out of the house I'll try my luck again with some Silkies. Maybe I can buy live ones instead of hatching lol. I laugh at my dad because he has to turn so many eggs for 25 days. hehe He asked if it would be to late to get a turner put in there but IDK.

Wolves are very hard to keep in. I pulled a wolf out of a shelter once (small town animal control woman had no idea what she was), she was mouthy (liked to chew on your forearms) and dispite the 8 foot chain link she dug out constantly until one day she dug out and didn't come back. I would be very concerned.

I don't see why you couldn't add the turner long as you work quickly they wouldn't be out for longer than it takes to candle.

Agh, worked my real job on saturday all day so I could stay home on sunday figuring I'd be up all night watching storms, just to get sick saturday night and all day yesterday. I need to get out in the garden today, but I think housework is going to trump that
