Ksane, that rooster is pretty, love the coloring. Not sure if it is creole or not but it looks like it to me (read untrained eye) if he were mine he would be close enough to count.

Thank you Here's a quick picture of one of the Cochin Bantams from MJ and one of the Silver Phoenix. These tiny Cochins are a hoot and a 1/2. I swear Cochins are born with huge crops lol I gave them some wet crumbles and they just loved it! The picture came out kind of blurry but the big crop was so funny I had to post it.

Allbreeds - Two black, one blue and one silver laced LF cochin roosters. The lacing on the SLC is not perfect nor is his tail. The blacks and blue roos are out of Bo Garretts birds.
Allbreeds – Approximately ten call ducks
RetiredArmyWife - Serama house rooster w/ cage
BetsyOK – Silkies and Showgirls (For those of you who have not seen Betsy’s birds they are faboo)
Oakieridge - Will bring some chicks for sure but hope to bring some blue splash/blue andelusion crosses if they turn out cute. Will also bring some hatching eggs of some kind.
Mjgigax - Mille Fleur and Mille Fleur/Mottled chicks, possibly eggs and a Buff Cochin trio – bantam
Upsdayz - bring some Seramas - both silkied and smooth feathered - male and female
Oceanseve - 5 cochin/d'uccle roosters,
Nanakat - some extra Aussie/Cochin cross birds for POOPS. These will good brown egg layers and nice meat birds. They will be about 15 weeks old by then. Roos and a few pullets. Some of these are blue, trio of young Columbian Wyandottes.
Nanakat - pure LF Cochin roos and possibly a pair or trio from the eggs from Iowa. These are growing nicely. They are mixed colors....black, blue and splash and are 9 and 6 weeks old now. making them about 15 and 12 weeks old
BlanchardOK - sex unknown pekins was given the ducklings in early Feb
CJarvis - trio maybe two of young Rosecombs. By request only in Black, Blue, maybe splash, and BB Red
Muesky – Small Seramas House Rooster w/ cage, feeder and waterer. Free! Have dill and spicy pickled eggs.
Okiechick57 - some modern game birds,and turkens or naked neck silkies

Afternoon Everyone!
Almost said morning but considering I have been up since 8:30 and did not get to sleep til after 4 this morning I am a bit loopy. Okay so I am always a bit loopy but today is just going to be worse.
Had fun spending time with BYCers at Newcastle then went and hung out with some biker friends last night. So it was an overall lovely day yesterday. Have some hatching eggs of Jack's I need to sit today. Probably going to do that later. Maybe after a nap.
I have really enjoyed looking at all the pics everyone has posted. They are awesome!!!
Hope everyone enjoys this lovely day we are having. Just think there are only 13 more days til POOPS!

A broodie hen would be better

I read that as "I need to sit on today" and about blew my orange crush all over the screen.

Picked up the cochin hens at Mary's Swap this morning.
Michael Daugherty was busy Busy BUSY....that place was packed!!

Helped move stuff in the barn to accomodate the new shelving while the girls hung out in the shade. Now going out to bathe them while it is warm enough for them to dry outside. Will post pics later.

Hi everyone,,,,enjoying the beautiful weather I have a problem I need help with. My young duck had it's leg broken and the knee, in no pain as far as I can tell.but can't use it........what to do? I have no clue? would appreciate ideas , thanks

My daughter texted my husband on the way home and asked if we got anything. He had me text her back because he was driving. I told her about the chicks and "this gorgeous OEGB rooster". She texted back and said, "This must be mom to use "gorgeous & rooster" in the same sentence."

He's a baby, too, not even any spur bumps. Jim, I know I was going to give Dewey Crow to you, but then when he died I felt terrible, he was such a sweetheart. I'm going to give this little guy 3 or 4 girls and fix him up a nice place. The little ones are so easy to take care of. See? If you were a women, wouldn't you call him gorgeous?? His name is Spencer.





You're welcome! I'm glad I finally got to talk to you face to face. Everyone, that Light Brahma hen he had was awesome. I love how their eyebrows make them look like Eagles. He wouldn't sell her though, I tried lol

Beautiful as usual banjoe, what does a female creole look like? I always see the males, but don't know if I've ever seen a female.

Nanakat, I have my sweet potatoes, now I just barely put them under the dirt, right??? Do I leave them whole? When they sprout I pick off the sprouts?? How will they live after that will they have little roots w/ the sprouts? How long will I be able to take the sprouts off? How many should I expect per sweet potato??
