***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Oh Nana I would love a start from your roses. My MIL and I were just talking last night how I needed some starts from her rose bushes too.

What time does everything start on Sat.? Gotta know just how early I am going to have to get up and get 5 kids around that morning, lol. I will be bringing some marans chicks instead of Blue andelusion chicks my andelusion JUST started laying this week! It was a good thing to because I had a talk with her last Sunday that she would have to start earning her keep and her spot in that pen or I was going to take her to auction, lol. I will also have at least a dozen golden salmon marans eggs.
Will put you on my list for things to bring.

This is what was posted a while back:

WHEN: Saturday, May 5th 2012, start time 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The park is located on Harper Drive in Choctaw. It is six miles North of the KOA, where we have had events in the past and about seven miles North of Interstate 40. It is about one quarter mile south of NE 23rd Street in Choctaw.
The place where POOPS will be held is at the Choctaw Creek Park in Choctaw. It is on Harper about a half mile South of NE 23rd street. (Turn south across from the shopping center)
(If you are coming via I-40 exit at Choctaw Road and go North six miles to NE 10th and turn left (West) go about a half mile to stop sign and turn right on Harper.
There is a big Church on the NE corner of that intersection. Go a half mile North and you will see the park entrance.)

I was in Starbucks recently when I suddenly realized I desperately needed to fart. The music was really loud so I timed my fart with the beat of the music.
After a couple of songs I started to feel better. I finished my coffee and noticed that everyone was staring at me…
And suddenly I remembered I was listening to my iPod
.
…and how was your day?
That's what happens when old people start using technology !

Spoc is the sweetest little rooster. He's one of the group that the neighbors moved off and left and my husband lured over here 4 or 5 yrs ago. I finally got ahold of him last summer and got him wormed and all that good stuff. He lives with these 4 girls-3 Bantam Cochins and a chunky Bantam Dark Cornish and they dote on him. He feeds them sheep poop and they cluck over him like he's the god of all chickens.
Thanks to GotGame & his wife Spoc gets 2 new Spangled Bantam Cornish girls. Thanks, Matt! And Spoc thanks you, too

You all can have all the noisy guineas for comic value that you want. But I'll take a Bantam Cornish any day of the week. Funniest birds I ever saw run.

i'd love some, but won't be at poops....darn....
If anyone is interested in starts or this rose bush let me know and I'll bring some to POOPS.
It's called 7 sisters. It is an old fashioned climbing rose that will climb on anything...up trees too it allowed. Blooms one time a year but makes a great hedge for privacy and security...loads of thorns. Always sends out new canes that can be pinned to the ground and they will root. I prune it when it after it blooms and that pretty well keeps it confined.

still trying to get this crossbeak eating, trimmed the bottom beak, trimmed too much on the top beak... so it is bleading, put flour on it, but then he eats and it will bleed again....

Robin, I use QuickStop (yellow powder for dog nails) when something bleeds. But you're right-you'd have to keep them from eating for a couple hours either way.
One of my 2 month old Bantam Faverolles had a huge swollen crop the other day, soft and mushy, not impacted. It's like the size of a baseball almost. She acts fine and runs around, does eat a lot of dirt scratching around. There's no bad smell or anything like that and she's eating and drinking plenty so I'm at a loss. I made a vet appt for 4:30 this afternoon. But in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas? Contrary to public opinion not ALL of my birds are my favorites. But these little Faverolles babies sure are and it worries me what could possibly be wrong.
