***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Okay, I guess I'll be picking up a store bought cake, unless you guys think we have enough desserts. I'm just dead on my feet right now. Chasing those **** roosters wore me out, then of course I fell trying to lunge for one. Apparently such things are not good for pregnant women. I tried to talk the husband into making the cake, but for some reason he doesn't want to..... go figure....

I was just trying to make your life a little bit easier. But I guess you're one of those martyr types, I've seen it all before. I'll be there to pick up the pieces when it all falls apart.
Sigh.

i am so glad you took her!! and happy to hear there are vets around that see chickens!

sadly i lost my little guy tonite- there obviously was more going on than just the beak- he just quit eating and could last on that- so i now have 4 favs- i'll get pics tomorow-
So sorry, I don't think it ever gets easier.

Ksane, Thank you so much for your unselfish giving. To be willing to take on the challenge of the little blue wheaton babies is admirable.

Sadly I really think this is my burden to bear and continue to fight through the hard times of playing with and cuddling baby chicks. I will persevere!

You both need help. Luckily there is a meeting all day tomorrow for people like you.

ok, i have tried to post this repeatedly- just not my nite, will try again... thank you all about the chick- sure is a killer when you hatch the little buggers and nothing can save them

on snakes and such...i grew up with a scientist for a dad, we weren't allowed to not like critters- in high scchool we were moving and the rabbit cage had a big spider in the corner- so when we moved, maria went in a jar to be relocated- i kid you not! he taught us how fascinating they were- the bugs i don't like now are wasps, roaches and flies....

i never had a nn till Dragon, my bantam, given to me by Gotgame, and transported and housed by Kass... this girl has personality and a half! and a motor beak! when she needs to lay an egg, she gets out of the banty run, comes to the front door and waits to be let in to lay her egg, she walks over to the open cage, goes in and settles in....

kass, have you looked at the saddle feathers? rather than focusing on the comb?

Amazing, another example of why hens are so cool.
