***OKIES in the BYC III ***

all i gotta do is figure out how to get em.
if i can come that way i will call you.
Jim,
do you want to try to figure out a chicken train? If someone in this area is headed Jim's direction I would like to check with Sooner too to see if she is ready for a few birds for Madison.. I do need to thin a bit.

The Golden and Blue Golden Birchen will be very nice there is some discussion about begining showing them as new varieties these will be well worth that effort or excellent additions to Birchen / Silver Blue / Brown Red / Lemon Blue breeding programs. Nothing like being able to get four colors from 1 mating and all nice birds.

Here's one of the white ones. Don't guess it has puffy cheeks either.

There is the other. They are just as different as can be.

Not chicken related...But I sure wish this girl would kid already. Bless her heart,

Mitzi I was the same way until recently. It is taking way to long to feed and I really have my breeders picked out so I decided this week to part with anything I could that I didn't 'need'. I sold over 60 birds (25 were chicks). But it was so liberating to go out this morning and see the pens less crowded. I hated looking into grow out pens and see 3-5 roos that I just couldn't use. I will sell more chicks this week and trying to talk Jackson into selling a few of his banty cochin chicks since his little pair has an almost 100% hatch rate we will soon be over run with banty cochins if I'm not careful! LOL

Ocean, that picture could sell anyone on piggies!!! CUTE!! I think they are cute in pics but terrified of them. We had a wild one come up to our house shortly after we got married. It cornered me on the porch and then once I got into the house it laid down against the door and wouldn't let me out. Nope I don't do pigs or geese!

Poor girl...when was she bred?

I have plenty of Columbian Females to go with the pair he got at poops.. if he is interested.

I had not gotten my normal 5 eggs a day from the Blue Rosecombs for the past two days, when I was cleaning up and moving pens I learned why.. two nearly 6 ft rat snakes living under the runners to that pen.. they are no longer a problem.
He said sold! LOL Just let us know when it works to come get them. He will be will be with his daddy at a motorcycle swap in Warwick but they are pretty much free the rest of the week.

I am going to stake out the guinea pen tomorrow. Hubby walked around it tonight when he got home and couldn't see how one is getting in but I still think it is a snake. Don't ask me what I will do once I see it because I am terrified of them (yeah just add that to the list). I am just really surprised those guineas would let a snake in their pen. We will find out tomorrow I guess.

Hey Tara, Mony, Les, and some of you others out there that like games and such like, I found this add to share, Lynn

Anytime tomorrow, this week after 6:30 pm or next weekend.
Check the cockrells toes on the right foot to see if he is Punched 1,2 or 3. 1 would be outer right, 2 is inner right three is both right, so I can get the right pullets for him.

Jim where do you live? I was thinking Wagner? Hubby will be going to Springfield,MO on Thursday if Carl could get the birds here by Wednesday hubby can get them to you. He can meet you off the turnpike maybe near the Hard Rock (he thinks there is a quicktrip off the road there) on the east side of Tulsa, or something I am sure you know where good meeting places are up that way. We are more than happy to bring them up that way. He said he plans on leaving here at around noon on Thursday he hopes to leave earlier but it may be as late as noon. So if you and Carl can work it out to get them this far we will get them to east of Tulsa for you. We can swap cell #'s so you all will know better what time for sure to meet. He will be in my car but banties are small so they should fit easily, lol.

Thanks everybody. She's wonderful. She is absolutely in love with all animals. She was having trouble with the idea of us killing any of our poultry, then I pulled up photos of battery houses and chickens and after looking at photos on her own for about 15 minutes she told me she agreed that the chickens we eat should have a better life than that. She's almost 6, very smart girl.

I love this picture lol!! Tell me you did not name that darling little piggie "Bacon" haha!
Your daughter looks just like you!
Yes I did indeed name that darling piggie bacon! We have forwarned the girls that these are food, not pets. The other darling piggie is sausage! I think my girls look more like their daddy, but they all got my personality and attitude :p We've warned them that they can get very mean when they get bigger and they could hurt them or our other animals, so it's not a discussion, just a fact, when they get big they will be food.

Murphy's law...break downs occur at the most inoportune times! One of the arms on the the rake broke yesterday and had to be welded. And then today the big tractor quit and had to be towed home. The boys got the hay raked and baled in spite of the break downs.

And getting older is the pits...medicine makes the world go around, the world go around...oh the original version of that song was Money makes the world go around...but I like my version better

Nope, no room for a piggie here...Red or Gracie would have to go....nope, not looking.

No must resist....cannot have a piggie

hmmmm...wonder what the human version is called and how much it costs....

Thanks...Might get one built this year. Roger calls my big teen pen a homeless shelter. It is temporary until he gets his new barn equipment storage building up. Then I'll know how much space I will have to arrange more outdoor pens. I need to do a "To Scale" drawing next. It really should be 8 x 8 and that would llow for more storage and turn around space...I'm not skinny anymore.
