***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Anybody know where I can get something called LS-50 around here? I've tried TSC and atwoods. Sick turkey and from what I"m reading this is my best bet at curing.

Symptoms: swollen face, runny nose, and sneezing, appetite is great.

My EE that was looking better on the Duramyacin has gone downhill again and another orp is beginning to get a red eye just like him. I think that I've got some other illness that needs better abx, from what I'm reading if it pops back after going away on D-10 or Tylan this LS-50 stuff will kick it's ***.
Are you looking for an injectable or water based mixture? The active ingredient is what you are really looking for and you can find this in the cattle and horse section easier.. Personally I like LA 200 or 300, the LS 50 and Tylan 50 also work very well. The injectable is easier to insure a proper dosage.

I am officially on summer break from my job at school. Yay!! On my first day off I slept in, am still in my pj's and haven't done a darn thing.

Have a huge list of things to do while I'm off that I will start on tomorrow.
I missed a couple of zucchini apparently the last several times I picked so the chickens will get 2 great big huge fat zucchini for a treat tonight. Didn't know those things could get so huge!! I have a new zucchini bread recipe that uses crushed pineapple and marachino cherries that I plan on trying this week.
Going to try to pickle a dozen or so jars of green beans and can a dozen or so jars of BBQ sauce this weekend. My boys got me a new pressure cooker for Mother's day so I am anxious to try it out.

Good evening all I have been working on my raffel items for Muskogee all evening. Every one of my hens laid today. Told the girls what good job they did and told them to keep up the good work. Me and DH are friends with another couple and I talked the husband into geting chickens his wife was not all that crazy about the idea. He bought 9 EE and 1 cinnamon queen and 1 EE roo. The wife like them so much now she wants her own but she wants pretty chickens she is thinking silky or polish. Point of this story I just converted two more to the chicken side. Hehehe I'm such a enabler lol
the force is strong with this one. lol

I posted pics of a really pretty bean plant flower and said I didn't know which bean it was b/c of my very poor record keeping skills. Someone really wanted to know what bean it was to plant to attract bees or butterflies I think, I can't remember if it was this thread or not, anyway the beans have started making and I now know what kind it is it is asparagus (yard long) beans. I will replant those next year the flowers are so pretty. Larger and more prominant then any of my other bean varieties.
cool ty my mom has some of those i may plant them towards fall i have a great way to pickle them.

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a poultry swap meet or auction within say 30 miles of Idabel, Ok. in the far southeastern part of Oklahoma? I thought I had heard of one at Mt. Hermon but don't know if it is a regular scheduled event.

been a great day got most of the serama cottage done. just need a lil hard ware for the door. Gonna go get that from elie in the morning. Spent the day with hubby and kids. Has been fantastic! Now making some chicken carbonara for dinner. Also got to harvest some khale seed to plant back into garden. threw out some more beet seeds. my daughter can eat her weight in those darn things.

I was headed out to the garden for some green beans, sweet peas, squash and who knows what else to start some stir fry for dinner but it's raining again.. I have not accomplished mush at all today with all the showers we have been getting. But the garden certianly appreciates it.

I did manage to thin th eturnips a bit earlier. The young birds have really been enjoying them the last few weeks. as well as scraps from the squash. I bet they can't wait for the melons to really get going.
