Easiest way I know is to take a bucket lid and cut it in half and snap one half back on the bucket, you may have to put a couple screws in the rim to keep it from coming off when they get in and out, a lot of time I just lay the bucket on its side on the ground and set a couple bricks in front and on each side, then if you want to move a setting hen you can pop a lid on the bucket and move her and take the lid off slowly!!! I buy them in the fall and have 1 lb of seed left over, check with Sooner I bought her the same seed she may have some left too.Well, shoot. I thought I'd try to get some last minute beans in since I had to rip out all my squash. Does anyone know where I can buy seeds still. Looked at atwoods already.
Quote: Thank you Carl...you got me going with a great set of parent stock and F1s.
In addition, I have a few F1 Birchen out of Beau and the Aussie girls that he is going to cover this fall. Have two girls already turning red in the wattles and that pretty CW pullet started laying this week.
I was at S & S Feed in Shawnee and they have lots of seed still available. I noticed Contender beans.Well, shoot. I thought I'd try to get some last minute beans in since I had to rip out all my squash. Does anyone know where I can buy seeds still. Looked at atwoods already.
There is a little mom and pop garden / feed store in Okmuglee called "The General Store" they have bulk seeds year round. Also a feed store near Shulter that does. Those both may be to far for you though.
