***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Here's my chickies back together. (no that's not a one legged chick, he runs everywhere - I think it's a roo)

Got all the splints off GimGim

Here is a pic of the ??roo??

Remember the guinea pigs that Jaxon bought at Newcastle the same evening as POOPS? One mama had 3 kits in June and the second female had 2 kits this week. We now have 7 guinea pigs of various ages.

On another note, my 3 blue - black shoulder peahens started laying eggs this week - after laying only one egg all spring and summer. The peacock has been displaying constantly, unlike the other peafowl varieties that have shed their trains. I guess they are just on a different schedule than the other varieties.
Baby guinea pigs must be super cute- the adults are already cute. I would love some but 3 cats wouldn't - well, they would like them but not in the same way I do.

Sounds like a very good year for Peacocks.

Help!!! We have a chick whose feet aren't spread out like they should be. One toe is curled up, almost like an arthritic hand looks. Any ideas?
Upsidaisy spared out the toes on the sticky side of one of those little pads that you put on the bottom of chairs to protect the floor. I know there are various options - tape it to a piece of cardboard cut to fit the foot shape? There are threads about clever ways to help chicks

I have never fixed a foot but I have fixed spraddle-leg several times. I know the earlier you intervene the better. Using band aids or pipe cleaners to hold their legs in the right place works great for spraddle-leg. They get strong fast and after 3 or 4 days are as if they never had a problem.
There are threads about clever ways to help chicks. I'm sure somebody will have a good fix.

Sorry - I responded before I read Ksane's post.

Can anyone tell me what time Mary's swap meet starts in the morning? I'm not interested in getting anything else for awhile but thought I might take my daughter over and just look around.

Thanks,
SDS

There will be people set up there before daylight. It slows down a lot after noon and most of the folks leave. We are going too, I think.

Awesome. I think we will ride the motorcycle over and either have breakfast on the way there or on the way back. I don't want to buy anything until what I have settles down. Being on the bike will help me behave. I plan to be out of there before it gets too hot.

Thanks,
SDS
