Just removed keets from the hatcher. Best hatch in the sportsman all yr I think. We didn't do anything different but 95% hatch --of course when I tell Taron she can keep the next 2 hatches they all hatch!

My 3 Araucana pullets from Joe are in with a pair of Phoenix their age, a Sebright pullet and 2 D'Uccle pullets. The whole group is real gentle with each other. It's an odd grouping but it works.
The 7 Araucanas from a different bloodline are doing great, too. I really love the personality of this breed. If you need a male I think I have a Splash and a Black from that group![]()
Here's my 3 from Joe and then the Phoenix pair and Sebright. The boy Phoenix is on the left, they're both Silver Duckwings (I love that color!) but boys look different. I like the female version of it best.

Do a search for splinting crooked feet and you'll find lots of info about it. People make splints out of the most amazing stuff. UpCDayZ (who I miss and still can't spell her screen name right!!) made some toe splints out of those little round furniture pads that are sticky on one side. She cut it them to fit, it was genius lolHelp!!! We have a chick whose feet aren't spread out like they should be. One toe is curled up, almost like an arthritic hand looks. Any ideas?

Well I had every intention of giving Oreo a water board refresher today just to make sure he remembered, but it soooooo was not ness. he totally remembers the water board lesson and was suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch a complete gentlemen, and stepped out of my way well before I got close enough to matter. I am hoping this continues to work this well and it will be my first line remedy from now on.
