I need a second cup of liquid day-starter so that I can finish moving some pipe corral pieces to the other end of the front pasture.

DH told me it will be 103 on Saturday. I'm going to give the trees a good soaking while I feed and water the birds Saturday morning. Some of the younger trees are starting to look a little crispy.

A few days ago I watered the grass inside the juvenile pen to give the birds some relief from the heat. With temperatures rising again, I'm freezing water bottles and will start putting them out where the birds can sit on or close to them.

I just got some great news!! An EXTREMELY Nice lady from TN has too many Swedish Flower Hen eggs for her bator, so she's sending me some for free!! What a fantastic day!!

Aack!! So jealous. My Swedish Flower chicks from Greenfire are about a week old now. I'm really enjoying them. Will post pictures if i can figure it out. ha ha
She did tell me that Greenfire Farms is fixing to bring some more over to add to the blood lines. She said they have 3 different blood lines now, soon they will have 4.

I got my first egg yesterday from the Ginger Reds I bought at N.E.O.C.S. last month.

I guess she finally got comfortable enough to lay. They went through alot while waiting on me to build them a coop. Couldn't help myself. It was love at first sight! Had to have em, before I had a place for em. However, they ended up with a very nice coop. Still working on the big hen house for my Lavender Orps and BCM's. It is 7.5' by 12' and will be split in half with a run attached also. I got my roof rafters on and the walls are framed. Only a matter of time now. I am becoming quite the carpenter. Very proud of myself. I made so many mistakes and had to start over several times but eventually got it figured out after doing alot of research. Hopefully will finish within the next two weeks. Have to juggle all of this with my work schedule.

Hope everyone is doing well.
