Thnx for the advice on my mean broody hen! While it doesn't hurt when she pecks it does break the skin, so I think i'll be wearing some gloves to check. I was worried about wearing gloves cause I'm kinda clumsy in big leather gloves, but I'll just be extra careful.

When it rains, it pours.
A young man that purchased our 1996 pick-up back in April, failed to transferr title on the truck. He also apparently hasn't bothered to get insurance on it either. He was in an accident this past week and gave our insurance information from an old card he found in the truck to the investigating officer saying he was "our employee".
With the title still in our name, the officer believed him when he said he hadn't received an updated copy yet. We had canceled the insurance on the vehicle in Dec when we gave it to a family member to use or sell but left the insurance card for the family member until he got it covered with his business insurance. Fortunately there was a "Notice of Transfer of Ownershiop of a vehicle" filed confirming the transaction. Too bad this young man gave false information to the officer and has now committed insurance fraud...doesn't look good for him. Our insurance company is going to file a police report and we have agreed to press charges along with them. My husband has a reputation of integrity and upholding the law as a retired officer with 25 years on.

While I was typing this the insurance company called and the young man has attempted to file a claim with our insurance for repairs on his truck. Think his load is a few brick shy of a full load.

Nanakat, that notice of title transfer is WELL worth the $10 or so it costs and has saved a lot of people a lot of hassle. Some people never cease to amaze me with their acts of stupidity. Trying to file a claim with your insurance company is comical.

Yes it does. Some Transfer of Title can take up to 30 days according to the Ok Tax Commission. The Transfer of Ownership officially lets the state know that you have sold the vehicle even if the new owner doesn't file the title transfer.

I guess since the kid got the officer to believe the truck was insured by our card, he could get the insurance company to pay for the repairs. It's sad that he thought he could get away with it.

I have some "gaurd dogs" like that! lol

I got my incubator today, this has the potential to be a bad thing.
