could have used that last week...had one come in the house and eat one of my pet starlings..

that starling could speak fluent star wars too.... hauled th snake out of the cage and he spit him out.... had had him 9 years....

then this morning found cindylou the bantam cochin i have been nursing, she seemed recovering, eating, pooping, but didn't make it through the nite...






had everyone but mama silkie and babies outside, but had to move a few inside who can't tolerate the heat....

Never let my kids hear.

They begged me into 5 ea vs the 3 I usually hold them to for their next fair. I've been freaking out about 15.

Anyone know anything about Oklahoma traffic laws or information sites? I ventured down today and got a huge ticket. What I did was legal here, but I can't find anything concrete for OK other than almost word for word the KS statutes, but dated in the 60's or so. Need to get to researching now to get ready for trial I guess. Not exactly sure how it all works as I've only ever had one ticket and it's been more than 20yrs since. Any advice is appreciated.

Are traffic ordinance books kept by county clerks or ????? Killing me to have to wait until Tues to find anything out.

I think that you can download the driver manual from the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety 's website nowdays. Maybe they will have a link. I used to know what site to look up any OK State Statue but have forgotten what it was.

I can't answer if it is legal in OK to pass on the right or not, but suspect that elwoods answer is correct. However I was an insurance agent for 10 or so years, before ems, so it has been many years ago. As to whether it will affect your insurance rates that is a maybe. It all depends on which insurance company you use and your current policy. Most carriers do not routinely check the mvr for their prefered policy holders, however they usually do for their "nonstandard" policy holder, usually once a year. If it increases the rate it would increase it on the liability portion of your policy premium so it would effect your premiums even w/o collision or comp coverage. Also if you have a preferred policy and they do not check your mvr, if you have an accident during the next 3 years they will likely check your mvr (I say 3 year b/c that is how long tickets can be charged for by the insurance co in OK I don't know about KS) and the accident combined w/ the ticket will likely increase your rate and may even bump you down to a nonpreferred policy.

Hmm, interesting waterer. Wonder what the cooler portion is supposed to do? Keep it cooler in Summer, warmer in Winter? We've also gone mostly nipple waterers now with a few cup ones thrown in. I've got a couple of those new water cups, but haven't used them yet.

On the snake topic, any idea about brown with black stripes? Sorry, my pics are all blurry. All I've found are the babies.

So if I just show up for the court thing vs just paying, it will keep it off my insurance? I've not dealt with any of this kind of stuff before. I've had a grand total of one ticket in my life, about 3 days after I turned 16, and it's been more than two decades since.

We have State Farm. Same policy from same person going on 32 yrs, plus home and life. I have no idea if we're preferred or not. No accidents or tickets for at least a decade. The fine for the ticket is more than my insurance premium for 6mths. So we're probably preferred???

In Oct of 93 (almost 20 years ago) I got a ticket for "Improper Movement From Direct Course" this resulted in an accident that I felt wasn't my fault a collage aged kid flying in a sports car couldn't slow down enough to keep from hitting me, She wasn't injured but her lawyer/father told her to call an ambulance anyway, I was in a state vehicle so I'm sure they (or she) was paid very well, I took it to court with drawings of how I felt I didn't do anything wrong, I didn't pull out in front of anyone, I could prove she was speeding and it was a construction zone with traffic being blocked, I was asked to approach the bench and informed that I was about to be found guilty and if wanted to make a last minute change to my plea now was the time, so I changed my plea thinking it was going to help somehow and even though my insurance can't hold it against me any longer it's still on my record on OSCN.net, Just out of curiosity I looked it up and what I was charged with isn't in the violation codes, I guess they could have removed it in the last 19 years but I have to wonder what that's about and why it's still listed on my court records? Anyway since then I don't fight them I just submit a guilty or no contest plea, request that the ticket be suspended then figure out how to pay the extortion fee...

Just showing up won't make it automatic, you have to ask for it to be suspended, I got a Ticket in Noble (*cough*speedtrap*cough cough*) several years ago
(did I mention I've had a few tickets?)
and when I got there everyone that had speeding tickets were taken one at a time to a room to sign a paper admitting guilt and requesting a suspension, All the documents were filled out in advance, it's just a money mill for them everyone is guilty even before you go before the judge and if you decline to sign then the judge finds you guilty and you are then denied the request for it to be suspended,

Now, I'm not saying that's what you should do or that it's the same everywhere I know it is in a lot of places, I'm just telling what I my opinion is and what I do LOL That's my disclaimer of course you might very well have done nothing wrong and can make a case to prove it people do so every day and beat tickets I'm just not that lucky or skilled or politically connected LOL

That's were I found the OK stuff from the 60's. Link I went through didn't have that 2011 title page. I have to get solid answers one way or the other for myself and several others.

I'll check on the snake links. The actual specimens didn't survive. One was even caught by some loose duck tape holding some tar paper on while it was attempting to climb to some youngsters.
