***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Just started a coop page for our new coop we are building, I would love any input or critiques. I am thick skinned I can take it LOL. It is the first one we have built, the one we are currently using we bought on craigslist, and we used what we did/didn't like about it to design this one at the same time trying to build it on the cheap... if it gives ya incentive to look it is COWBOY ORANGE! Cathiesue said I should call it the Cowboy Coop!

Morning all! Peaked out the window, ground still looks dry, but weather radar shows we may see a few sprinkles soon.

Haven't slept more than 2-3 hours at a time in the past wk. starting to get a tad frustrating..... Appointments today... Means more blood work & new prescriptions usually. Also taking Alexis to get her last 2 baby teeth pulled. They still are not loose & should have came out a couple yrs ago on their own. She cant get her 2nd set of braces until all her permanent teeth are in place. If things don't speed up she will still be wearing braces in college.

I don't think those leghorns have laid an egg in a couple weeks. But the other girls are laying better. We are up to 1/3 of our before summer egg production. Anyone remember me giving a few hens guinea eggs? Well yesterday I hear all kinds of commotion coming from the young birds. Upon investigating I discover 3 young guineas runnning along the fence back & forth between 2 shelters. Watch them for several minutes then decided better help them out before they kill theirselves running the fence in the heat. So reguardless of how a guinea is raised the end result appears to be the same. The moms seem to be letting the birds go out more on their own, so I will probally move the momma hens back to the barn in the next wk.
Looking forward to the cool weather coming!

That's what i needed thank you so much!
