***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Depression can be a side effect of fibromyalgia, but don't think they considered it. Anti-depressants are the only thing they haven't given me this last month (or at least that is how it feels). When this started (and without pain meds) I couldn't grip a door knob or make the 6 inch step into my office without taking it very slow & holding onto the wall. Every joint aches & my skin feels sunburned in different places at times. The burning comes & goes. May last 5 minutes or an hour. Can be in one place or multiple. Hard to explain, but pure missery. I opted out of most conventional medicine when I discovered my liver cyst a few yrs ago. My chiropractor has been able to treat me with adjustments & acupuncture to keep me off most meds. But in recent months no relief after multiple attempts from my FABOULOUS chiropractor. I really prefer to avoid meds, but for now I need them. When the last of my blood test are back in a few wks guess I will get a treatment plan instead of just treating all the vague symptoms. My Dr is FABOULOUS the best one I have ever had in 13 yrs here. She will even call up @ dinner time going I thought of another test we could try & she really wants to find what is wrong & fix it.
Alexis is sleeping & looking pretty miserable from getting her teeth pulled. Taron says she is going to take a nap too-- said she had a rough day. Silly girl sat at her dads office while I went to my apt.
Anyone in the market for chicks, atwoods has all their brooders set up, they must be getting chicks in the AM.
For dinner tonight I made something new in the crockpot..... Smells so yummy! Even smelled good when I mixed it up this AM. http://www.food.com/recipe/crock-pot-carnitas-326866
Joe that's a BUNCH of ribbons. Think you may need to build a trophy room before you go to any more shows! WOW
I've been reading about fibromyalgia (did I even spell that right??) and it really does sound like what you have as far as the pain, etc. I had no idea-I didn't know you didn't feel good! I've always envied how energetic you are, I can't do half of what you do without crashing. I imagine the work load would be a lot less if you moved back into town....but we all know who would be the one *arranging the move, packing, organizing and all the other stuff. You'd be so worn out from moving back into town you'd have to rest for months. I hope they figure out what it is, that's its simple and that they can fix it.

Joe, that's awesome about your son winning with his birds!!!

Lost the little Buff Cochin hens that was my DH's favorite today. She stole his heart when he had to take care of my birds for the first time when I went out of town about 2 years ago. She never was a strong bird, or show quality, but had alot of spunk and personality. I guess I should expect this kind of sad loss often when they are as much pets as they are livestock.

MJ sorry about your DH loosing his bird. Think this heat wave has been harder. Birds got use to the cooler weather & once it was back over 100 they didn't like the change.

Mitzi the work load is lighter in town & I have more friends to call on but we are happier on the farm. Couldn't imagine thinning out the birds & splitting up our dogs. DH biggest concern is that he has a hard time getting home every night, but when we leave close to base he is more available. Thankful our girls are old enough to do bunches, and hopefully I can beat whatever is going on. Worse case senerio Alexis will be driving before DH leaves to go to his next school & the Army will take my medical needs into consideration when he gets his next assignment. But I would prefer this not be a chronic condition & me be back to normal soon!

Septemberfest is this weekend. We have never been, but got a call today reminding me I should take the kids. Lots of neat stuff so DH is taking the girls & my sisters kids. I may try to tag along depending on how these new meds work out. The only blood work that hasn't came back is for lupus I believe. But they did other blood work that would have also possibly indicated lupus & it was neg. She gave me a copy of all my blood test & the results. My aunt is a Dr @ university of Arkansas & I usually send my test results to her for a 2nd opinion from her & her colleges. Just for reassurance that I am not crazy & the dr is covering her basis. Mitzi it is ok you didn't know what was going on w me. I haven't mentioned much about not feeling since I would prefer deny it. But as I have began feeling worse there is no room left for denial. My sister wanted me to help her sew some curtains, but I can't even manage. Sitting in a chair & working with my hands pulling heavy fabric is way too much for me physically. Hope the right meds will get me back to a normal routine.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I do hope they find an answer for you soon.

Atwood's in Stillwater got a shipment of Ducks, Geese and Bantam chicks in today!!! For those interested, they will be getting more chicks in later, I will let yall know!! Lynn

Where are they getting goslings from? I've been looking for some to give one of my geese that's been setting on a bad egg and couldn't find any babies for her. I broke her up last week, but I'd like to know in case I need any this time of year again in the future.

Atwoods birds usually come from ideal.

Think my new sleeping pills are defective -- still awake tossing & turning 3+ hours later. Think I can sleep better with a few glasses of wine or a few mixed drinks.
