These are the 12 LF Salmon Faverolle chicks that hatched yesterday. Three boys for sure, but I'll know for sure how many in a week.

Just figuring out the quote, then post thing..Welcome to the group! Where in OK are you from? My husband told me if he knew how many chickens we would have ended up with he would have built the first coop twice as big, lol.
They're beautiful!! I love how chunky and fat cheeked Fav babies areThese are the 12 LF Salmon Faverolle chicks that hatched yesterday. Three boys for sure, but I'll know for sure how many in a week.
One of my MIA guineas showed up this evening with 5 keets. I caught them, but have no game feed or starter right now. Advice on what to feed them till I can get to the feed store tomorrow??
My Blue Mottled cochins girl is molting bad too. Her new feathers are starting to come in though. Her rooster is molting more slowly. He is a very feathery boy and keeps her warm in their little coop at night. I moved some birds around today. At dusk I couldn't find my Partridge Cochin hen, Louise. I thought maybe she had escaped from her new pen and had tried to go to her old home. I finally found her still in the new pen, - roosting in the Honeysuckle vine growing thru the wire of the pen! She is small and was hiding very well in the leaves. She has quite a lively personality. On a sad note one of my favorite Mille Fleur Cochin hens died today. The heat got to her this Summer and I never could get he to gain weight even though she loved to eat Naked Neck's special Chicken recipe.
