Still deciding on whether to set them or not, I'm so dang scared I'll get a bunch of boys and it's so hard to find good homes for Cochin boys.

Well if they are Lemon Blues they may not that hard to get rid of?

On vacation in Branson we were going to go to a show tonight, but one of the places we went today had some massive airfreshener gave me a major asthma attack so I'm back at the room trying to recover and no show tonight.

That's so frustrating! I'm sensitive to cinnamon (just scents) and it's so miserable to be all stopped up because someone else likes it! I wish public places would just realize we need clean unscented air!

We got the first step of the coop done today. concrete is set! (free pre-made slabs) DH is not so thrilled about moving the building/coop tomorrow..

Robin - Thanks for letting me bend your ear today. I need to make more time to talk to grownups. I fear, sometimes, that I'll implode if I don't interact more with people my own age. You're an amazing sounding board. It's uncanny how much we think alike.

I'm enjoying keeping your boys for a little while. They'll gripe at me this weekend, but within a few days they'll see me with the feed bucket, and they'll forgive me.

Hey bridget-rdh, my Grandparents used to live on Hwy 99 down by the Pow-Wow grounds. Used to fish the Deep Fork river slews under the highway. Used to go thru Drumright when going to Chandler. Do they still have the brick road on Main st. Loved that area as a kid. Loved to go fishing for Catfish. Stroud lake is one of my favorite lakes.

is it Drumright yhay has the BBQ joint that is suppose to be good?

No, no brick road on main street now, but it is still brick on Penn, which runs in front of the high school. My husband and boys are big on catfishing, but usually head to keystone or Eufala. And yes we have that good BBQ place, Josephs. Best tabouly you'll ever eat. It's a lebanese style steakhouse and bbq. And my sister-in-law and her husband own it!

Going to get kinda cold. should I put a heat lamp for my 2 week old chicks?

I would say yes, since they aren't feathered out yet... Might want to wait to see if someone with more experience replies.. If they are cold they huddle up together and don' move around much.

most definitely, they should have access to a lamp until they are fully feathered
