Good (hot) afternoon Okies,

I've missed being around for a few days. Had a bad week last week at work and that sorta took the posting gumption out of me. This week is much better.

Today my husband and I have been married for 3 years.

Our celebration may not be all that grand but it is special to us. We exchanged mushy cards this morning (the one he gave me made me tear up a bit) and tonight we'll go out to eat at a chinese buffet cause we want good eggrolls.

Saturday I've got a birthday that I'm getting awesome cupcakes for. (Really looking forward to those)

It is so hot out there, I am waiting till sun down to do my chores, made sure everyone had water and I came in for a nap. 5:30 am is killing a girl that likes her sleep.

I do mine in the morning and the evening. The teenager go through all their feed during the day and get more in the evening. The goats get more hay in the evening and I usually cut them some tree branches. Momma hen and babies usually get dirt & stuff in the water scratching around. Then last but not least I deal with the pool.

Is sounding to me like we need to start mapping out a route
for Big Okie. Pa-Pa is having a fit to dress a couple of EE roos.
Guess I'll have to dig out the big crock-pot and roast them
like Rachel Ray did. I have NO room in the freezers yet. And,
if Na-Na gets to go to the lake.......any available corner is
"reserved" for catfish !!!!!!!!!!

Sales are OK... ya just gotta watch what ya buy...lots of chicken bacteria and viruses lay dormant and can surprise ya later! If ya want a secure flock, buy from a breeder or hatchery....but they are fun to watch for sure....lots of interesting stuff and sometimes the hand just goes up... I take hubby with me for safety...(He whacks me if I raise my hand!) And Al...he watches out for me too...LOL...


Finally had to cull the Pollack. This one made me sad. He just laid around with his head on the floor... wasn't eating or drinking. I really liked him...

Hope everyone survived the heat....jeepers it's toasty. I just wanna play in the hose. Made it through the Midevil Torture House (Do You Want To Play A game?)and am back to relax!!

I had my wisdom teeth pulled in 1985. I was so nervous that they couldn't knock me out, because my heart rate was too high.... so they shot me in the tush with a load of Demerol. After that they coulda took my arm off and I would not have cared. All of the anesthesia and Demerol stayed in my system for 3 days. With the pain meds and all every time I would move around a lot I would get stoned all over again. Mike made the mistake of taking me to a local pharmacy. While he was shopping for whatever it was (I forget now) I went and looked at greeting cards. for some reason... they all struck me as hilarious. I just stood there and cracked up...I was really out of it and I was busting up...people were staring and I finally peed my pants! Mike had to haul me out of there... I was in bad shape. I had no pain!
