We have rain this morning! Hallelujah! Hopefully it will keep the temperature a little lower than the 100 degrees it was yesterday. Of course, a day that begins with 75 degrees at 6 am isn't likely to be too cool.

I am sorry to hear you will be unable to attend, you will be missed we tend to have way too much fun at our Okies POOPS events. We have many members who travel vast distances to attend.

Hi everyone as you know the fall P.O.O.P.S will be Sept. 26th. It has been decided that we would have a Pot luck lunch & dinner!

We are looking for foods that are just as good cold as they are hot. We will have limited outlets for crock pots if that is something you might be interested in. We will also have limited space to keep things cool between lunch and dinner, so if you bring something that needs to be kept cool make arrangements for that. For some folks that travel you could possibly have your ingredients made and put them together on site. Keep in mind the number of people that will be attending when making your dish or dishes.

We will also need paper goods, silverware & drinks. I have a couple of large igloo coolers that can be used for tea & kool-aid. If you have an one we could use let me know. I will need volunteers for set up before each meal along with volunteers for clean up after.

Please contact (PM) myself or TJ’s Nana if you have any questions or if you need a suggestion as to what you can bring. I will keep a running list of items so let me know what you plan to bring.

Can't wait to see everyone there!

Sooner~ Cheesy Chicken Soup (crockpot)
Sub sandwich
Kool aid
2 Igloo drink coolers
NNbreeder~ Banana pudding

Al, if you change you mind about curly tailed dogs, I've surly got one I could provide you with

Stupid neighbor's foofoo dog dug under their fence and took two very important tail feathers off of a bantam rooster

I was in a panic this morning! As we were leaving to go to church there was a big pitbull running up the road chasing a cat or course I had let my hens out to free range. They were all safe and sound when I got home but I worried the whole time!

Grace sorry to hear of your tail feather dilema. on the other hand don't think I am kidding about the dog dishes served in Korea, anybody who has ever been there can attest to that fact, it is kinda gross seeing them hanging in the meat markets there.

My nice Sunday morning just turned bad, over a cup of coffee I scanned the condo with my Bino's and noticed something didn't look right. I grabbed my shotgun and slippers and headed out there, I found a total slaughter all of my biggest and best laying hens were killed along with several of the pretty teenagers I had hatched this year as replacement layers all dead, along with my two prized Roosters a stunning Iowa Blue and a Barred Rock. it only got into the one coop through a very small space on top of the side of a 8' wire encased roof, also the way he got out. he couldn't make it into any other areas so the total was about 7 hen's and 2 roos.
Holy crap this has never happened in the years that the coop has been up as I do regular maintenance on the fencing, I guess I missed a spot. The trap is set so I pity the fool tonight.

And I have no more eggs for the bator as the others birds are not ready yet and I thinned my flock last month. DANG!!!!!.
