WhooHoo! Had a silkie hen hatch out 15 chicks today!

And she still had 5 eggs left,I placed them under another hen because I think they were layed late by another hen, Now If I can just raise them. Thats whats been my downfall this year. Good hatches,but lots of lost chicks.

Henny Sorry for your moms bad eye visit. I feel for you. The mil is still insiting on going back to her apartment,poor wife catches hell every nite when she comes home. I told her to just flat out tell mil that she wouldn't have her apartment any more and let her get mad and get it over with. but she thinks thats to harsh!(Not me I have to babysit her all day,Stand back I'll tell her! Lol)

Sounds like you all are getting much needed rain. We got some more not so much needed today also!

I figure that means that with normal washing, the "chemical crap which contributes to illness" is removed. Making the commercially produced food as healthy as organically produced.

That is probably where they are getting that line from, instead of "or" it probably should be "therefore no"

I may be paranoid, but there is such many more chronic and terminal illnesses these days hitting younger and younger. Personally I believe its a combination of pesticides, hormones, and metals in our food, vaccines, toiletries. You can't put all this stuff meant to kill bacteria and bugs into stuff and not realize that as it all piles on it will effect larger animals. That's the concept behind animal testing, how much of the toxic stuff can be tolerated before it being obviously poisonous. My opinion of course.

My Dad was a feed salesman and called on most all of the
ranches in NE Oklahoma. I remember him coming home of an
evening with strange dust all over his clothes. He would have
been somewhere while the crop dusters were flying over. He
died at 60 years old of colon cancer. Of course, on top of that,
my mother didn't have a clue what a stove was for....."instant
everything" was all she knew. But, I'm a believer in all this
chemical stuff adding up. And, we don't do the aerosol spray
"anything" here either.....this poor old earth and our ozone is
all we've got. The downside to that...LOL...we make up a
list of everywhere we need to go when we fire up the truck.
More than a few times.....we have to charge the battery in the
car, because it has set there this long.....LOL

Monty - Bill laughed and said that he gets to reserve the
definition of "a few" when we come to POOPS.....LOL They
are the Black Langshans.

Well, the rain has stopped up here, but it sure has been nice.
