I've got a few more newbie POOPS questions. How many birds do people usually bring? Do we have to follow the rule that animals must be inside a locked vehicle at night?????? When we camp with our dog, he is always required to be inside a car or tent at night.

My non-chicken loving DH is going to freak if I have to find out how many chickens will roost in a Toyota Matrix.

There is no limit as to the amount of birds you can bring or take home LOL. In April there were some of our members who brought lot's of birds, we are hoping for many more birds this year. The folks that camped and brought birds kept them caged outside... KOA rules, with out any problems. It is however your responsibility to keep them safe.

WHAHOO!! J&M and John passed the inspection with flying colors, as if we had any doubt!! So now they can say they are USDA certified.

OK........ Monty, is the the face a sideview on the right side of the picture. If so I SEE IT!! Shaun saw a horse on the left side.

I want Cuban's Langshans!! I have eggs from TJ's Nana but I want more!!

I need to get rid of about 50 birds, but............. which ones?

Neecy

P.S. Hey Queen S!! willow and the girls are GREAT!!

Poco I don't know about a Matrix but you can put close to 50 half grown birds in the trunk and another 5 pairs each of ducks and geese in the back seat of a Chr. New Yorker. !!

Ok my first cross of the project was Malay and Naked Neck, When they hatched I had Malays and Naked Necks. No NNs with the Malay stance but the cross did increase the brow ridges even in the hens and some devoloped spurs. It did however eliminate the combs on a few of the NNs. I am doing this in Bantam 'cause nobody on earth has bantam Mad. Games! If I could find some of the NNs from a line that Bernard Kellogg had I bet I would have better success. Those birds were true bantams and were imported from Germany.

My husband saw that on the news this morning. Even he laughed cause organic is not about better nutrition, its about whats not on it, all the chemical crap which contributes to illness. He disagrees with my buying organic due to cost, but even he wanted to smack the newpeople for that one.

The first sentence of the article said that "Organic food has no nutritional or health benefits over conventionally produced food". I figure that means that with normal washing, the "chemical crap which contributes to illness" is removed. Making the commercially produced food as healthy as organically produced.

So you reckon nothing is absorbed through the skins of fruits and vegies as they grow, or drawn up through their root systems after it is washed into the soil?
