OK to all you Okie silkie experts!!! I was just messing with one of my silkies and about half way down the neck on the back side of him or her was a knot or a bump I havnt noticed this on the others but havnt paid that close attention either, so what I am asking is this normal on a Silkie and if it isnt what is it and what can I do to fix it? It doesnt seem to bother him or her but just wanna make sure I know what it is.

Sounds like he better bring a couple of jars!! That is some great stuff! I am happy to know that others are teaching their boys to cook! Most of my boys friends don't know how to cook and aren't much on trying anything that isn't fast food or standard restaurant fair.

Quenston, I dont care who you are thats a great catfish. Not sure how well he would taste at that size though

I always wanted to try noodling till I saw a show on it here in Oklahoma. One guy had scars all UP his arm from grabbing a beaver. The thing didnt bite and let go or even hold on, it just kept going up his arm. NO THANK YOU

CountryRoad, that looks like an "eating" size catfish. I love to go down to creeks,rivers, and ponds where I know i can catch cats in the 2-5lb range if i plan on actualy keeping any (happens once a year about lol). Did you weigh that whisker face?

Looks like all the Okes had a fine weekend. Mike pulled his back yesterday so today was church and hang out.... I've got him on heat and anti-inflammatories.

Big Q...That is the biggest catfish I ever saw...heavens, are there any nuclear plants where you were fishing?

You guys were lucky to get to go to Cement. Mike was on call. I am getting the Friday Night Blues. All I do is paint and go the the rest home. I get itchy feet fast, and need the open road and some red dirt music. The next Cement is Labor Day... I will need to move teenagers by then...

Wish I could have met up with y'all. I miss POOPS folks...I still miss Teach.... All my teacher friends are going nuts right now....

On a good note...I had my Mom out yesterday for 10 hours. She folded some laundry and pruned the roses. Some of her old chores before she left. Made her feel useful and like old times. We had Subway and Braum's Chocolate Almond ice cream (her faves). I painted and we gabbed. we sat out, drank iced tea and watched silly chicken TV. I was really blessed. She was pretty beat when we dropped her off, but smiling....

We think alike, not that ive caught anything that big. I love to do the catch and release even though the wife says im just wasting time fishing if i dont keep any

but I hate cleaning fish unless im realy hungry for fried fish. Your right at that guy being around for a LONG time. Cats get big but it takes years to grow that size. I cant remember how many lbs they pack on a year on average but it was less than you'd think if I remember right.

I know most of if not all of you have read this before but it always makes me fill good to read it.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.

The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
