Good Sunday Morning to all!

Had a great evening at the auction last night. I came home with two pairs of mille fleurs. They were nicely colored and very small for millies. A pair of lemon blue old english, the roo is very young but the hen is grown and very tiny. A young pair of blue splash old english. And last but not least a pair of modern game bantams. They are splah I guess, but almost solid white with only a few black feathers! All ten birds for only $31! They had some young mille fluer old english but they were a little more then I wanted to pay,but should have concidering the rareity of them. This auction only happens about every three months but always has a good turn out, although last night was kind of small.
Al hope you are doing better. I thought about you last night, they had some big white rock hens at the auction. I bet they weighed 9-10 pounds each. They were newly feathered and real pretty but only brought $4 each!I almost bought some to eat!
Garce congrats on the wins. You need to get with whoever it was that was going and go to the Ohio bird show. I bet you would enjoy seeing a really huge show.

Pigeon folks, I have a friend who wants to give me some pigeons. They look more dovelike. Really pretty. They are solid white. Any ideas as to what they are? I can call her and find out, but she is usually so busy, I feel bad for interrupting her.

Morning my fellow Okies :
Feeling better today leg is doing better, not limping like yesterday, but my shoulder is still really sore and I can barely lift it. Raining some here so it looks like a good day to relax and watch a little football on TV.

Buster : Show us a few pic's of those cabinet servers, were they used for food serving??. They sound very interesting. How were the auctions last night.

CityClucks/ Beth : Thanks for your concern, No I didn't go to the doc's didn't need to really, The worst part of the whole deal is I had to eat the $1300,00 replacment cost of that door, it looked worst than me after our little dance together LOL.

Muesky : Have you recieved your GFM yet, let us see it girl !!!.

Congrats to Bill and Kendra for their fine doining's at the Tulsa show. I wish they had one close to here I would consider showing some of mine.

Monty : I should have gone to Cement just to thank Micheal for his efforts at POOPS but I just couldn't muster the energy. I will see him at Fletcher later this month.

AL

Grace - FANTASTIC JOB !!!!!!!! That scorecard surely lifted your
spirits a bit ! We looked through all the bantams at Tulsa and
did not see one pair of the Hamburgs. There were four birds
over in open, but Standard size. One pair was real light, and the
other pair was quite a bit darker. Don't know anything about
them, so don't know which is better.

Did see Rodriguez birds, but never did see her. Will look for
her again this afternoon. Bill did get to see Okieoutlaw Friday
evening, but not Saturday. May be able to catch both of them
this afternoon.

Good grief..........how in the world do you folks that live in town,
or even worse, in the large cities, sleep at night??????? We've
got a major case of Jet-Lag now. We came on home last night
and have to go back to Tulsa in a bit for coop-out at 3:00.

What little we even remember.............LOL

RIR Cockrel - 1st, BV, RB
NHRs - Cockrel 1st, BV
Pullet - 1st, RV
White OEGBs - pullet 1st, BV
Cock - 1st, RV
Silver Duckwing OEGB - hen 1st, BV
Spangled OEGB - cock - 1st, BV
hen - 1st, RV

nobody even remembers what the Black OEGBs did......LOL
We ended up just taking 18 birds and all placed at least 3rd.

We feel pretty good for the "first time out the gate" at Tulsa.
There were about 600/700 birds in the Junior Division.
I was a little taken back though by the fact that the names
were not taken off the entry cards through judging. I guess,
not being a sanctioned show, they can do whatever they
want, but ..............just doesn't seem right to us.

Well, TJ seems to think that he hasn't had enough of the
mid-way and we need to be back up there early, so guess
Na-Na needs to at least pretend she "gives Jack Squat"....LOL
May be Wednesday before I surface again......LOL

Have a good one !

P.S. - City - Thanks for the pics of Pa-Pa and Kendra. They felt like they
earned a picture. All of the birds were entered in TJ's name, but it
definitely has been a group effort...........LOL

Well I told everyone that I would let you all know what I picked for Blanchard acution next Saturday. I was going to this on Monday but I may forget. The birds came from Sam Devenney in Lawton. Here is what he sent.

1 pr of Blue Andolisians (spelling probably wrong)
Trio of White Face
some Arcanuas Hens
pair of Black Rosecombs
Royal Palm Tom (seems to young. He vaccinated this bird before I left)

There is other birds. Will let everyone know as soon as i find my list. He sent a 15 hole hen nest(it will need some work on bottoms),some feeders, long feeder good for chickens or goats,a stryofoam incubactor with turner (does work)

He has a pair of Spotted Hamburgs he would sell if anyone is interested in them.

He decided not to sell the Blue Laced Wyandottes right now unless we can talk him into.

Also remember we can now sell Goats,Sheep, and Calves under 250 LBS.

I know at least Four Goats for Saturday ( It is a start)

Saw a few of you at Cement last night. But missed Fletcher auction completly.

Al hope you get better.

I was up all night thinking I was going to be Grandpa but it did not workout.Josh that helps me at the sale is my son and my daughter in law is Sheri some of you remember her. She was the orginal ticket writer for the sale. They say some this week it will happen.

It is when one show has two judges. The first judge goes through and places every bird then they attendants put a new tag on each cage, and the second judge goes through and judges them all.
It's especially great if you are in the APA/ABA and trying to get "points" because you only have to take your birds to one place, but it "counts" like you have been to two shows!
They are pretty rare, I believe. The only one around here is Idabel.

Ouch! That is one expensive door! No wonder you were fighting so hard to prevent it from being damaged. Ouch, Ouch, Ouch.

Glad you have a reasonable plan for recovery for yourself.
