Which auction was this that you went to last night? Sounds like my kind of auction! Once every three months seems like it would be great for the turnout too!

He is out of state. I think Tennessee. Yes it would be nice to have an auction that is every 3 months or every 6 months. Kinda like Jacobs Cave, that is going on this weekend. Come heck or high water I am going 1st weekend in June next year, even if I have to walk.

Jacob's Cave?? Oh do tell more!

My husband and I are building "furniture" for our recently built coop. New nestboxes and roosts that hinge and hook to the ceiling for easy coop cleaning...good projects for a rainy day! Our birds are loving to be outside today though...they are unphased by the rain! Silly chickens!

I would love to make a trip with lets see............... all of the POOPS group but especially Miss Donna and Miss Carolyn and Miss Carah and.........well you know. Talk about a camp out.

It is the 1st weekend in June and 1st weekend in October.

How's everyone liking this cold rainy weather? We had to get up early and help move a cattle shoot in it, wasn't likin it so much then. Lol

We walked throught then Cement auction around 6:00 last night. It was pretty disappointing, not a whole lot of people there. I saw Mike and the Yonderoak bunch, but not much for birds. Said hi to Mike and headed on to see my aunt and grandma.

I finally put the Silkie in my brooder box with my two EE chicks. They're lovin it! I'm glad it went over well, they're adorable together. Guess she will just be spoiled under the heat lamp until the chicks are grown.

Grace and Kendra, congrats on the winnings this weekend!!

Glad to hear about the goats! We'll be there for that part, too. I'm not for certain we will buy any, since we are still learning and don't yet know what we want, but we are glad they are there. Otherwise we would be headed for the Mountain View auction.

HA! No, I hadn't even thought of that. They are computer network servers, designed to hold those big network computers that you screw onto the racks inside. That is the reason for all the power outlets and the big internal fans, to keep the servers from overheating, since those things use a lot of juice and get very hot. So much juice in fact the box is rigged for 220, which it then splits into 110 among the various outlets.

I'll post pics soon. I have questions about how to get it to work, anyway.

They had rations of grains ground at the mill along with the feed for the cattle, hogs and horses. The egg sales paid for the cost of milling and at least the wheat and oats came off the farm.

Grandma had prize hogs that won many ribbons at fairs. Well grandpa got "a deal" on a load of apples because some were spoiled and fed them to the hogs.

That afternoon the garden club made a visit so grandma could show off her hogs and boy did she get mad!!

Those hogs were stubling around and falling all over themselves. Seems some of the apples were fermented and her hogs were drunk!
