I swap roosters out from time to time and unless the new guy is way bigger then the girls he can expect to fight each and every one of them. That is so funny to watch cause it will start with the dominant hen and then each will take their turn.

Morning Okie's! Boy are we slowing down after P.O.O.P.S or what? Where is everyone??? Are ya waiting for it to rain???

We stuck the new coop under the awning that we park the 4 wheelers so we can get it finished today. When church is out we are going to swing by the farm supply for wire (the only thing I have to buy). My DH is already talking of making the next one for the set of Blacks!

So what does everyone have planned today.

Dr. Les, I started them on worm meds yesterday! I shall see if I find anything on the ground this morning. By the time I get home from church I will dump it and give fresh water.

I be here.......... Morning Sooner....... I had planned to paint......while hubby does his pony rides then hit the local jones auction.......BUT......rain changes all that.........now , we will spend the day taking a lower ceiling apart in my kitchen.......ah the fun..that is............if I feel up to it.this bug sure is hanging on and on..........

A double show is one that is sanctioned by both the APA and the ABA. American Poultry Association and American Bantam Association.

The show coming up in Idabel is a "double show" and the birds are judged twice. I'm new to showing so if that is incorrect please set me straight.

Everyone is doing great at showing. I'm beginning to think the Okies that really take pride in their birds is on here hence the awesome jobs at showing.

Grace, you got a lot of titles at Newcastle. Great Job!

Waiting to see pics of that new coop, bet it gonna be nice!! I think I'm gonna turn my first one into a duplex & put my black pair of oegb's in the new addition next to the BB Reds. Speaking of BB Reds, I need a new roo. The one I have now just does not impress the three hens much at all.

Morning Okiechick! I hear ya on the bug. I am still having the coughing & drainage from the cold I got last weekend. I do feel good, just tired of blowing!

LOL Matt, that is funny! You know those girls are the sweetest thing on earth.

I am here a few more minutes before we head out for church. Then by the farm store. I hope the rain holds off, I would really like to finish the coop for my cochins.

I wanted to share a pic of my splash roo (from OKCarla) that was picking on my Cochin Roo. Isn't he a cutie! Love his blue ears.

Has anyone actually made money just by placing a bid at an auction?

Yesterday at the Lawton auction, nobody wanted to buy the CRT monitors. The auctioneers kept piling more of them on the pile, as they do when nobody will bid on something. I think it got to the point of 10 monitors, with a bid of a dollar for all ten, when one guy got tired of the whole thing and set a dollar bill on top of the monitors.

Everybody laughed. It basically meant you could get all ten monitors for nothing. Still, nobody raised a hand. One of the auctioneers put another dollar on the pile.

And that is how I made a profit on a bid.
