Hola Okie Peeps...

How is life? I'm loving this weather as long as it doesn't get tooooo cold yet. God has been really faithful to pull me out of the pit I was in. My mom is better...not great, but better. This used to be my favorite time of year, until she started getting sick every October after we got here... (I don't think defoliating cotton helps...did we learn nothing from Agent Orange? *sigh*) Anyways...God told me to suck it up and enjoy it, so I have been spending time outside and sniffing the cold misty air. My hens are actually rebounding. Danged worms....I have one EE that has been so thin...she usually just stands all ruffled up...in a funk. (like mother, like hen) Today when I went to give her her vitamins she tried to run from me, put up a squawk when I grabbed her, and her crop was stuffed!! She had actually eaten!!! She has been hanging with the other EEs goofing around this morning.

Al, glad to see you up and causing trouble again. I took MaryBeth's advice and slept off and on all weekend...and ate something other than Pepsi. She's right...I do feel better. Friday was a humdinger....

Bailey family...AWESOME!! Kendra looked gorgeous and proud!! Bill looked ornery and proud!!! You guys rock!!

Thanks for the prayers and support this weekend...wouldn't have made it through without them. Love y'all!!

Checked the persimmon seeds and they had a spoon...calling for snow this year..so everyone get ready to bundle up. My wondreful husband home sick, is going to primer the new coop for our babies!!!

Good morning everyone glad to see everyone is having a good day!! I am at home today with the crud I think the DW tried to poison me or something!!! LOL Well I am not gonna post pics of my coops it sounds like I would be laughed off the board, LOL but the next one that I build for the DW is going to be for her Cochins and it will be great I hope I have some great ideas from the kids old tree house/swingset. Quenston!! I don't think she'd poison you...but it sounds like she might do something to keep you home so you could work on those coops and get your birds housed appropriately... You are one man who needs to be careful what you wish for...like wanting your DW to start liking chickens more!!

City I agree 100% there!!! Thats ok she always needed hobby!!! It keeps us close and is good for the family. I am trying to get motivated to get out and paint coops and MAYBE get another coops and pen built for the cochins!!!
