as far as the silkies go I just want 3 or 4 hens to be my brooders for me. so if you end up with any you want to part with let me know.

I want to get into goat roping and brake away, then... tie down. the funny thing is I'm 5'1'' and under 100lbs, so I know I'll have to work at it to get those calves down in good time.

I like the cold, but the winter stuff can hold off a while, and NO ICE STORMS THIS TIME! whos with me?

You sound like you should come to the next People of Oklahoma poultry swap! OKCarla always has a ton of silkies. She sells the birds and hatching eggs.

we went to the last one it was in choctaw at the koa. it was a blast!! think they are working for the next one in the spring and just do it annually.

that_crazy_lady - Welcome to the group !!! I know where Rose
is. We're over here on Hwy 82 halfway between Peggs and
Tahlequah. If you're into the horses and the roping, I'm betting
you know Anthony Trimble over there. He's a super good guy.
We think the world of him.

Glad you joined us. This is a super group of people.

Have a good one !

I'm about 25 minutes west of Tulsa, and I have a nice flock of White, black, blue, gray, splash, porcelain and partridge silkies. I should have a nice bunch of chicks in the spring if you'd like to come out and take your pick rather than ordering hatchery quality. My flock is NPIP certified, and I'm hatching some really nice birds. My prices will vary depending on quality.

Okieoutlaw - I think this is the show we were talking about.

And, did want to mention, too - I don't have a clue who donated
the beautiful "Feed Mill" advertising shirt to the POOPS raffle.
I wore it as an over-shirt at Tulsa. The shirt got as much
attention as any of the chickens did ....LOL I love it ! So,
whoever, Thanks Bunches !

Have a good one !

I do, but I have no extras and the ones I have are not laying at this time.

I am interested in getting some. Do you think there will be any at the Shawnee show? I'd also be interested in eggs come spring.

I used to want to do that until I got bucked off of my mare a couple years ago. The bucking part was bad enough, but the stopping/landing really hurt. Of course I used my head and a 4" pipe in the arena to accomplish it. A severe concussion, skull fracture and huge bruising on my whole face and down into my chest, then my legs and shoulder. Not much fun. Decided I wasn't going to get on something that was going to buck on purpose. lol
You're young and will recover faster, but I still don't recommend it.

I don't know the name, but my husband ropes over in the central and western part of the state. He may know him though. Oklahoma is full of team ropers.
