I agree. And the whites show it off a lot better than the barred or any other color. That rooster in the picture whipped Lou's dogs the first day I brought him home. Evan's beagle is afraid of him too.

Yes he posted pics, they were great! I turned the kids old play house into my first coop. It is still doing it's job!! If I ever see one of those free I will be getting it!

I am lucky the only one's I am having to put a light on are the one's Madison won in the raffle (What are they again Monty?)

I think most of them were Welsummers.

Carah, Cuban or Les might be able to tell you or you might try posting on the Mille Fluer Cochin thread and ask there.
I am pretty sure they would breed true.
On the blues, you have to follow the guidlines like Dande and Les posted.

Once you have a good Mille Fleur pattern established all you have to do is maintain it so that your birds don't have too much white showing up in them (which makes them look mottled).

Maintain it how? I would think that no matter what you will always have that wild card when it takes so much to get it to that "color", I love the color but don't think I know enough to think about breeding.

Thanks Monty for some reason I couldn't remember. I'm pretty sure that is all we have we lost the one....???

Maintain it with selective breeding. Same as you do with any pattern or color, even white takes work to stay solid white. Just ask Stimpy.
