I get to go to Lex tomorrow night for the auction. Daughter will be here for grandson. Where is it located at. At lex, how is it with the cages? do they sell with the birds? If so I wont bring any chickens.

It was actually a little light on the turnout for some reason But the wife bought a very nice white Saipan, a pair of Australorps and a pair of blue bantams of mixed breed. So happens we were sitting next to the owner of the Saipans and Australorps and he has some blue Saipans too.
Hogs were indeed cheap and there were all sizes from weaners to sows, 5 dollars up to around 175.
Goats didn't sell too far off of market price and were either Boar or Pigmy and the wethers sold best in my opinion cause they were a good butcher size.
A nice young lady bought a very nice, young NN rooster that will get very big if fed out right. Like a high protien grower. That little roo didn't even have a good start on a set of spurs so he is very young.

Gerald was so happy to get that naked neck rooster! Yeah, he should grow some and turn out rather nice. I was told that he was a hatchery chick bought at Lumber 2 earlier this year. Hopefully I can eventually put him in the pen with my buff roo and a dozen hens and they'll accept him. We're still hoping for a couple of chicks from your black tailed white turkens you bought earlier. Maybe next year?

Oh, and I'm glad you met the fella that sells the Saipans. His name is Troy, and he is really nice and extremely knowledgeable about birds. A wonderful man to know, and his wife is really sweet too. They used to go to the Harrah auction before it shut down. I hadn't seen them in months.

Here's a pic of our NNs that I took this morning.

Thanks Tina! I hope they all hatch for you! We will probably go to the Lexington auction Monday night. Here's the last ad on craigslist I've seen about the auction. I'm not good at giving directions, but you could call them and ask.

I doubt if we're taking anything with us to sell, since we have to work until 2 pm on Monday, but if you're wanting us to bring you anything let me know.

I may be meeting Rebecca Muesky before the auction for a turkey trade & a peachick. She's a member here, and a really sweet lady that lives about 12 miles away from the auction. I hope she's there!

Yea that turken was sweet looking. Glad you got him. The Australorp roo I got HE IS HUGE. And just a lover daughter named him Billy BA. I put the eggs in the bator last night and am babying them. They should hatch about the 29th( that is day 21) Thanks Carla and Gerald (sorry for spelling error earlier)

What abotu the turkeys, the palm's? I forgot what we talked about last night.

Daughters named the doves, Hansel and Gretel.

I know this is random, but is anyone in need of a vacuum cleaner? Its a Bissell, takes bags, only about 3 years old. Its practically brand new, but we got a new one when we got married. $15 anyone?

Congrats, that's exciting! I love Seramas, but I've never seen one other than on the internet. I call them Coke Can Chickens.

What color are your new additions?

Carla, sorry for being confused, but are you talking about the bird in the top right of the picture, or the one front and center???

Pretty! Where are they coming from? I didn't think about a bird cage in the house! My husband would have a stroke.

My babies are spending the winter in the garage under the heat lamp. They seem happy enough.

Well these guys are so tiny, it will be like having lovebirds or something. I've read that a lot of people keep Seramas in the house as pets. It will only be for winter time. Besides...I don't have a hubby to tell me no...

They are coming from Crescent City, Ok.....may even get another trio.
