Sounds like the cackling hens need to hen peck the yacking Alpha Roo back into submission? We, hens, will have our numbers up and when we do, we will sneak upon their mighty leader and... (not going to give up our plan of attack)

Can't even go to a chicken auction without the men getting rowdy while I'm gone! And I didn't even buy a chicken...

Yes, the good ones cost too much. A pair of Sebrights was POed at $20 a piece. I would of loved to of had them but I couldn't see paying $50 for the pair.

They were nice though. But not that nice.

I think it is the weather,

We show dogs, and when the weather is like this, cold and hot they all get excited and wild. I like it more then because they have more spirit. Well, some may disagree, I always pick the spirited puppies to begin, so it only gets worse!

We have raised English Cockers, but not recently. I bet your babies are cute!!! The cold can stay away for sure, plus I need to give the big dog a bath, and she has to be bathed outside. Maybe we are crazy, but the Great Pyrenees and all the English Cockers are all inside dogs

They have gotten so BIG so fast. I guess I'm used to my "standard" sized chicks from 4-5 pound adults. I can't tell so far about their sex. Both chicks are very pretty. They are still in the house right now. They might be the first to try out the crate. I know they won't fit in it for long though.

The ones we have our still in the house, and today I finally got them off the heat lamp. I tried several times and they would all huddle up. We have three bins of chicks in the house right now, with 12 eggs in the incubator. Good thing my husband likes the chickens, lol

Well, she is a retired dog. She used to be the facility dog where I work, and has always been an inside dog. They decided to get rid of her and were looking at putting her down because she was becoming grumpy. My husband and I have known her since 2003 or 2004, and we are attached, so I asked if I could bring her home.

I haven't had a light on the Barred Rocks for a while. So don't let yours make you feel bad. They can handle it.

Now the guys are getting it while they are gone. That will teach them after their behavior earlier. If you noticed at POOPS, they weren't near as vocal as now.
